Objective:To establish the models of rabbit fever and Mongolian medical emptiness fever syndrome through the Mongolian medicine"microbes"infection and the"four applications"intervention method under the guidance of Mongolian medicine theory.The model group and the treatment group were established to observe the symptoms.Rabbits in the treatment group were given intragastricly symptomatic Mongolian medicine Agari-35,warm moxibustion therapy.Rabbits in the model group were not given any therapeutic intervention.The verification period and the determination of the standard for the period would provide the basis for further study of the period of emptiness fever syndrome.Methods:Mongolian Medicine“microbes”infection:A total of 12 healthy rabbits(males and females)were included in the preliminary experiment in the model group;9 rabbits in the model group;9rabbits in the blank control group.The rabbits in the model group were injected Escherichia coli in different doses,3×10~7 cfu/ml in the high-dose group,2×10~7cfu/ml in the middle-dose group and 1×10~7cfu/ml in the low-dose group.3 rabbits with 1 ml injection were included in each dose group,once-a-day.Multi-point abdominal injection was used for molding.Rabbits in the control group were injected with an equal amount of physiological saline.The body temperature of rabbits in the two groups was continuously measured for 3 days and observed the symptoms,including sustained fever time and high fever peaks.The ideal dose group-medium dose(2×10~7cfu/ml)was chosen.In the formal experiment,10 rabbits were included in model groups,10 rabbits in the control groups.According to the above method,rabbits in the model group were injected 1 ml of E.coli(2×10~7 cfu/ml).Multi-point abdominal injection was used for molding.Rabbits were continuely received four-application intervention of Mongolian medicine“Heyi"for more than seven days,including behavioral intervention(fright and cool environment),dietary intervention(dense tea,facial masking),and Mongolian drug intervention(gaburi-3).The therapy intervention was ear vein bleeding(every other day,2 ml each time).Rabbits in the control group were fed conventionally without special intervention.After 7 days,rabbits in the model group were continually receive the above intervention.3 rabbits were randomly selected from the model group as the treatment group.The rabbits in the in the model group were stopped all interventions and resumed the routine feeding for receiving antiviral medicine(Agari-35)and confrontation with the intervention treatment of Mongolian medicine(Agari-35)and against"Heyi",and Heyi acupuncture point treatment once a day.The symptoms and signs were continuously observed.The model was evaluated for emptiness fever syndromes.The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELAISA)was used to detect IL-1,IL-6,TNF-?,and CPR in the immature fever syndrome period and emptiness fever syndrome period in each group.Results:The rabbits in model group were administered with interventional measures(on treatment,food,care and regulation)that can invigorate Heyi on the basis of fever for over 7 days.They presented disorderly and dull hair,fresh pink auricula,prominent aural vessels,and became sensitive,cool-avoiding,wagging,brittle,active,shaking,Drink less,and sleepless in most of time.Their pulse appeared to be quick,coarse and empty,their urine was reddish yellow with bubbles,and their feces were low in quantity,small in shape,and soft in composition and surrounded by mucous membrane.Such manifestations were caused by feebleness and heat.In accordance with symptomology,the manifestations were in line with the clinical presentations and essentials of diagnosis about feeble and heat period in Mongolian medicine.The model proved to be successful.Detection of IL-1,IL-6,TNF-?and CRP contents in serum:compared with blank group,the model group didn't differ much in IL-1 or CRP(P>0.05);but the differences between blank group and model group in IL-1 and TNF-?were significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The E.coli bacterial method is stable,easy,reproducible with uniform fever and high peak fever,which is easy for observation of syndromes.The dose of 2×10~7cfu/ml is considered to be the appropriate dose for the establishment of Mongolian Medical emptiness fever syndrome model.The four applied interventions given in the experiment are in line with increased the intervention of“Heyi”in the Mongolian medical theory.“Heyi”can increase for rabbits in fever,resulting in emptiness fever syndrome.After the success of the modeling,the symptoms were observed.The rabbit body temperature,auricle color,hair,general state,activity,pulse,urine,and feces were all consistent with the symptoms of the Mongolian medical emptiness fever syndrome theory.
