The Influence Of Depression Media Information Framework On Public Support Behavior

Depression is a kind of mental and mental illness.It is a serious health problem that has plagued the whole world due to its high prevalence,high disability and high burden of disease.According to WHO website data,depression will become the second largest disease in the world after ischemic heart disease in 2020.In China,it has been estimated that the number of patients with depression has reached 90 million.But only less than half of the world's depressive patients receive effective treatment,and the stigma of mental illness will greatly affect patients and block their individual's help-seeking behavior.Interpersonal relationships are a powerful tool for fighting depression,because they can serve as sources of social support and channels for persuasive health information at the same time.This study focuses on the influence of the depression information framework on public support behavior,and introduces the gain and loss framing and the extended parallel process model(EPPM)as the theoretical basis.The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of the gain and loss framing,threat framework and effectiveness framework on public support behavior attitudes and behavioral intentions of patients with depression.This study was carried out using 2(gain vs loss framing)*2(high threat framework vs low threat framework)*2(high efficient framework vs low efficiency framework).8 different text messages are distributed randomly.The subjects first filled out the pre test part to understand the basic personal information of the subjects,then read the text information about the depression,and finally made the corresponding evaluation and measurement according to the content of the text information.The participants were 204 undergraduates from the Journalism and Communication College of Nanjing University and Nanjing Normal University.All the data collected in this research were analyzed by SPSS 17.First,the random allocation effectiveness examination was carried out to ensure that the subjects' age,sex,prior knowledge,the degree of understanding of depression,and the depression experience were effectively controlled,and the stimulation operation was carried out again to ensure that the stimulus text loss/gain framing,the high/low threat framework and the high/low efficiency framework were all subject to the subjects.Finally,the research hypotheses and research questions are answered through the data results.The results showed that the high efficiency framework had a significant impact on the behavior and attitude of the public on depression,but the gain/loss framing and the threat framework did not affect the behavior and attitude of supporting behavior and supporting behavior.The gain/loss framing*threat framework effectiveness framework three factors affect the support behavior intention of depressive patients.At the same time,it is also found that the gain/loss framing,the effectiveness framework influence the participants' ability assessment,and the loss framing*threat framework affects the participants' risk assessment,and the risk assessment is positively related to the behavior intention,and the ability assessment is positively related to the behavior attitude and behavior intention.The gain and loss framing and EPPM are partially proved that only the effectiveness framework has a significant effect on the behavior and attitude in a single framework,while the interaction of multiple frameworks is more significant.The impact of information framework on support behavior is not direct,but requires an evaluation process.The information framework affects behavior attitude and behavior intention by affecting risk assessment and ability assessment.It is worth noting that the risk assessment plays a moderating role in the framework of earnings/loss in this study.At the same time,whether the subjects had depression tendency,different subjects were affected by the information frame differently.
