ObjectiveTo evaluate the therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with external application of TCM on acute ankle sprain, and compare with acupuncture alone in treating this disease. To provide a practical basis for acupuncture combined with the application of external application of TCM in treating this disease, and to enrich the clinical treatment of acute ankle sprain.Methods60 patients with acute ankle sprain who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into acupuncture plus TCM external application treatment group(acupuncture drug group)and acupuncture treatment group(acupuncture group),30 cases in each group. The main acupoints in acupuncture group were the sick side of Shenmai(BL62),Qiuxu(GB40),Ashi and the healthy side of Yanglao(SI06).If the type of disease belongs to muscles along the regular meridians of Foot SHAOYANG,selects Xuanzhong(GB39);the same belongs to muscles along the regular meridians of Foot SHAOYIN,selects Rangu(KI02);belongs to muscles along the regular meridians of Foot TAIYIN,selects Shangqiu(SP05).Acupuncturing Yanglao(SI06)first and at the same time exercising the ankle for 5 minutes, then leaving the needle for 30 minutes, others acupuncturing routinely and leaving the needle for 30 minutes,1 times / day;The acupuncture drug group was treated with the external application of TCM and the same treatment as the acupuncture group.Using Ashi as the center for external application,1 stickers / times,6 hours / times,1 times / day.A total of 2 courses were treated. The treatment was not treated for 1 days. The clinical efficacy of VAS score, swelling degree score and Kofoed score were evaluated before treatment,7th days and 14 th days respectively.Result1.VAS score of ankle pressure pain:Before treatment, the VAS score of the acupuncture drug group and the acupuncture group was tested by t-test,t=0.56 and P > 0.05,there was no significant difference between the two groups; The VAS score of the 7th days and 14 th days of the acupuncture drug group was compared with t-test,t=3.57,t=8.47,and P < 0.05 as before the treatment, and the difference was statistically significant; The VAS score of the acupuncture group was compared with t-test,t=2.44,t=6.78,and P < 0.05 as before the treatment for 7th days and 14 th days, and the difference was statistically significant; On the 7th day and the 14 th day after treatment, the VAS scores of the acupuncture group and the acupuncture group were tested by t-test,t=2.05,t=3.21 and P < 0.05,indicating that 7th days and 14 th days after treatment, the ankle pain tenderness of the acupuncture group was better than that of the acupuncture group, the difference was statistically significant.2.Ankle swelling degree score:Before treatment, the swelling degree score of the acupuncture drug group and the acupuncture group was tested by t-test,t=0.49 and P > 0.05,there was no significant difference between the two groups; The swelling degree score of the 7th days and 14 th days of the acupuncture drug group was compared with t-test,t=6.91,t=14.96,and P < 0.05 as before the treatment, and the difference was statistically significant; The swelling degree score of the acupuncture group was compared with t-test,t=3.43,t=8.02,and P < 0.05 as before the treatment for 7th days and 14 th days, and the difference was statistically significant; On the 7th day and the 14 th day after treatment, the swelling degree score of the acupuncture group and the acupuncture group were tested by t-test,t=3.22,t=3.12 and P < 0.05,indicating that 7th days and 14 th days after treatment, the ankle swelling of the acupuncture group was better than that of the acupuncture group, the difference was statistically significant.3.Ankle Kofoed score:Before treatment, the Kofoed score of the acupuncture drug group and the acupuncture group was tested by t-test,t=0.61 and P > 0.05,there was no significant difference between the two groups; The Kofoed score of the 7th days and 14 th days of the acupuncture drug group was compared with t-test,t=5.30,t=8.94,and P < 0.05 as before the treatment, and the difference was statistically significant; The Kofoed score of the acupuncture group was compared with t-test,t=2.98,t=6.92,and P < 0.05 as before the treatment for 7th days and 14 th days, and the difference was statistically significant; On the 7th day and the 14 th day after treatment, the Kofoed score of the acupuncture group and the acupuncture group were tested by t-test,t=3.01,t=2.94 and P < 0.05,indicating that 7th days and 14 th days after treatment, the ankle Kofoed score of the acupuncture group was better than that of the acupuncture group, the difference was statistically significant.4.Clinical efficacy:After 14 days of treatment,in the acupuncture drug group,16 cases were cured,8 cases were markedly effective,4 cases were effective and 2 cases were invalid. The total effective rate was 93.3%;In the acupuncture group,9 cases were cured,4 cases were markedly effective,11 cases were effective, and 6 cases were invalid. The total effective rate was 80%.The two groups were tested by Ridit test z=2.415 and P < 0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion1.Acupuncture combined with external application of TCM and single acupuncture treatment can achieve certain clinical efficacy in treating acute ankle sprain. All two can alleviate ankle tenderness, swelling and dysfunction to some extent.2.Acupuncture combined with external application of TCM for acute ankle sprain is better than acupuncture alone. The two are significantly different in improving ankle tenderness, swelling and dysfunction.Acupuncture combined with external application of TCM is more prominent.3.The treatment of acute ankle sprain with acupuncture combined with external application of TCM is effective in the treatment of acute ankle sprain, and there is no obvious adverse reaction, which can be used for further clinical promotion.
