Objective:Through the comprehensive research and analysis of traditional Chinese manipulation and external therapy for the treatment of acute ankle sprains, and the clinical observation of contrast between manipulation with the layers adjusting external application therapy and simply adopting the layers adjusting external application therapy for the treatment of acute ankle sprain cases, to provide theoretical and clinical basis for the therapy of manipulation and layers adjusting external application for the treatment of acute ankle sprains.Method:With a total of60cases as the source of cases from the first hospital of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Jiangsu Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital) orthopedic emergency acute sprain of ankle joint patients, randomized controlled trials are divided into experimental group and control group with30cases in each group, all follow the intention-to-treat analysis (ITT, intention to treat analysis), the test group using rationale tendon manipulation combined with the layers adjusting external application therapy treatment, control group by simple the layers adjusting external application therapy, a total of6days, in the day, after a newly diagnosed type first,2,3, and6days respectively, comparing and analyzing the experimental group and the control group of patients with ankle VAS pain score, swelling, skin temperature, joint activity index. SPSS16.0software are used on the relevant statistical data analysis.Result:Both experimental group and control group, the group of data comparative analysis, the total effect of integral, VAS pain score, range of motion, swelling degree, skin temperature difference of the affected side and the healthy side from the treatment was compared with before in the first day, P<0.05, with statistical significance. From the group of data comparative analysis, the experimental group and the control group with integral compared to third and sixth days, P<0.05, with statistical significance. The experimental group and the control group compared with the VAS score and skin temperature difference of the affected side and the healthy side, all P>0.05, no statistical significance. The experimental group and the control group joint activity compared to sixth days, P<0.05, with statistical significance. The experimental group and the control group efficacy compared to sixth days, P<0.05, with statistical significance. Conclusion:The experimental group and the control group respectively adopt manipulation with the layers adjusting external application therapy and simply the layers adjusting external application therapy for the treatment of acute ankle sprain. In two cases the symptoms after treatment, symptoms were improved obviously, two therapeutic schemes in the treatment of acute ankle sprains the curative effect is obvious. In addition, In the reduce of pain and skin temperature difference, the experimental group was not superior to the control group. However, the test group joint activity and swelling degree improvement than the control group; and in the overall efficacy test group is better than control group. Visible manipulation with the layers adjusting external application therapy combined with simply the layers adjusting external application therapy in the joint activity and swelling degree improvement, has more advantages has overall effect for acute ankle sprain patients. We can promote the use of manipulation with the layers adjusting external application therapy.
