Clinical Study Of Yanghe Decoction In The Treatment Of Hashimoto’s Disease Based On Syndrome Of Yang Deficiency And Phlegm Coagulation

Purposes:To observe the effect and safety of hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism treated by Yanghe decoction combined with Euthyrox,and explore its action mechanism,and provide a reliable basis for clinical use.Methods:Divide 80 cases diagnosed with hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism differentiated as yang deficiency and phlegm coagulation pattern into the treatment group and the control group with 40 cases each at randomly.The control group were given regular basic treatment(psychological therapy,diet therapy)and Euthyrox.The treatment group were given additional Yanghe decoction on the basis of the control group,one dose daily.After 3 months of treatment,the scores of TCM syndrome,FT3,FT4,TSH,TMAb,TGAb,and the volume of the goiter and isthmus in the two groups before and after treatment were observed and statistically analyzed.Results:The basic situation of the two groups of subjects in this study was not significantly different,and was comparable(P>0.05).1.The thyroid function:In group comparison,the levels of FT3 and FT4 in the two groups were significantly higher,and the level of TSH decreased significantly(P<0.01).Inter group comparison,the tr.eatment group was superior to the control group in the aspects of increasing FT3,FT4 and reducing TSH(P<0.01 or P<0.05),all of which were statistically significant.2.Thyroid related antibodies comparison:In group comparison,the TMAb and TGAb of the two groups were decreased significantly after treatment(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Inter group comparison,The decrease of TMAb and TGAb in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.01).3.Thyroid volume and isthmus thickness:The thyroid volume in both groups and the thickness of the thyroid isthmus in the treatment group were significantly smaller than that before the treatment(P<0.01).There was no obvious change in the isthmus in the control group(P>0.05).Inter group comparison,the improvement of thyroid volume in the treatment group was more significantly than that in the control group(P<0.05).The improvement of the isthmus thickness in the treatment group was not statistically significant compared with that in the control group(P>0.05).4.Syndrome score comparison:In group comparison,the total scores of TCM syndromes were significantly decreased before and after treatment(P<0.01).Inter group comparison,the improvement of total score in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.01).5.Safety index:During the study,there was no obvious abnormality in blood routine,stool routine,liver and kidney function and electrocardiogram examination in the two groups.No adverse reactions occurred after taking medicine,and it had good safety.Conclusions:The result of this clinical study showed that using Yanghe Decoction to treat patient diagnosed with hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism differentiated as yang deficiency and phlegm coagulation pattern can significantly improve the thyroid function of patients and reduce thyroid antibodies,reduce the goiter volume and isthmus thickness,improving TCM symptoms and signs,curative effect,safe and reliable.
