Object:Filling the blank of survey report on the outcome of bovine pericardium aortic valve prosthesis(AVP)surgery on aortic incompetence patients'early postoperative life quality in China. The purpose of the paper is to evaluate the life quality of bovine pericardium aortic valve prosthesis(AVP)surgery on patients and to analysis the effected factors of postoperative life quality. Methods:Research study assessed 228 cases of adult patients who had had the surgery in a Wuhan hospital(grade III,national class-A hospital)from 2014 June to2016 June. All the patients underwent primary thoracotomy or micro invasive extracorporeal bovine aortic valve prosthesis surgery.Control group consisted 204cases of adult patients who had had the aortic bioprosthetic valve replacement surgery at the same time and place. The subjects gave consent to the research by telephone interviews.Questionnaire composition:SF-36 quality of life survey questionnaire and Chinese cardiovascular patients'life quality evaluation questionnaire and general demographic data(Edited by Wuhan Asia Heart Hospital).Statistical methods:X2 test,t test and multiple linear regression.Results:?~2 test found out that the general factors of the two groups were no statistically significant(P>0.05),except average income, the monthly cost of rehabilitation, the hosipital cost and return to work after surgery. The other factors include gender, age, marriage status, occupation, education level, living environment, payment method of medical expenses, the preoperative or postoperative complications, the preoperative or postoperative combined illness, preoperative cardiac function classification, postoperative left ventricular ejection fraction, and the length of hospitalization. In SF-36 self-rating and CQQC scale, the dimensions differences of physiological function(PF),role-physical(RP),general health physical functioning(GH),vitality(VT)social functioning(SF),role-emotional(RE),mental health(MH),physical functioning, illness, medical functioning,1iving functioning, social mental functioning, work functioning were statistically significant(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression found out that the general factors of AVP groups were statistically significant(P<0.05)in quality of life except gender. The other factors include age, marriage status, occupation, education level, living environment, average income, payment method of medical expenses, the monthly cost of rehabilitation, the hosipital cost, return to work after surgery, the preoperative or postoperative combined illness, the preoperative or postoperative complications, preoperative cardiac function classification, postoperative left ventricular ejection fraction, and the length of hospitalization. Conclusion:The bovine pericardium aortic valve prosthesis(AVP)surgery has a higher outcome on postoperative life quality than biological valve replacement surgery in different dimensions. The general factors that effected quality of life included age, marriage status, occupation, education level, living environment, average income, payment method of medical expenses, the monthly cost of rehabilitation, the hosipital cost, return to work after surgery, the preoperative or postoperative combined illness, the preoperative or postoperative complications, preoperative cardiac function classification, postoperative left ventricular ejection fraction, and the length of hospitalization.
