[Objective]:To investigate the effect of osteoporosis on the hidden blood loss after t otal hip arthroplasty.[Methods]:Sending questionnaires to patients who prepared to take unilateral hip arthroplasty at the Central Hospital of Xiangtanfrom May 2016 to April 2017,recording their ages, heights, weights, previous medical history and choosing the those without diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, gastrointestinal ulcer and other medical diseases and suffering from femoral neck fracture as the objects of study. And then they were divided into two groups, osteoporosis group and non-osteoporosis group, according to their Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry test. The intraoperative blood loss and autologous blood transfusion volume, hematocrits and allogeneic blood transfusionvolume from the day before operation to three days after operation and the amount of blood drainage after operation of the two groups were recorded, then the data were processed by the Gross and Nadler equations to get blood loss in theoryand hidden blood loss.It was found that the data were normal distribution with graphic methods.Afterwards,F-test was adopted to test homogeneity of variance of the two sets of data and independent samples tests were adopted to analyze the hidden blood loss of the two groups statistically. Finally, the relationship between hidden blood loss and age, sex, height, weight and osteoporosis was analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis.[Results]:The average hidden blood loss volume was 653.88 ± 46.54ml in osteoporosis group while 117.55 ± 28.84ml in non-osteoporosis group. There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that osteoporosis had a significant effect on hidden blood loss while height, sex and weight not so significant.[Conclusion]:Osteoporosis is an important risk factor in hidden blood loss in the post-operative period of THA.Weight?sex andieighthad effects on hidden blood loss, but not significantly.
