The Roles Of Artermin And SOD2 In Human Endometrial Diseases

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of Artemin(ARTN)and SOD2 in endometrial diseases.Methods The expression of Artemin(ARTN)and SOD2 protein was examined in 38 normal endometrial tissues(NE),20 simple endometrial hyperplasia(SEH),12 complex endometrial hyperplasia(CEH)and 47 uterine endometrial carcinoma(EC)tissues by Two-step immunohistochemical method.Results ARTN expressed much higher in endometrial carcinoma tissues compared with normal endometrial tissues and benign endometrial lesions;whereas SOD2 expressed much lower in endometrial carcinoma tissues compared with normal endometrial tissues and benign endometrial lesions.Conclusion The expressions of ARTN and SOD2 were associated with tumor progressing of human endometrial carcinoma.ARTN might play a tumor promoting role and SOD2 might play a suppressing role.
