Operation Status And Development Strategy Of Village Health Service In Shangzhou District

The goal of health work at this stage Is to solve the problem that it is difficult and expensive for the majority of people to obtain medical care.The majority of people concentrates in villages.Most of them are famers and some are suffering economic hardship.The policy of health service is “prevention in the first place and integrating prevention with control with the focus at grass-roots level”.It is the village health service on which the grass-roots level lies.The majority of people is close to the village health service which is of importance to prevent diseases.However,due to the unevenly developing economics in different regions,the village health in the western region obtains less attention and less investment than that does in the areas of high economic development.There are also different degrees of difficulties to promote the reform of the village health service in the western region.This thesis aims to investigate the operation status of village health service by using a variety of research methods and focusing on Shangluo City,Shaanxi Province,Shangzhou District.Field investigation and interviews were launched to obtain the depth understanding of the operation status and the quality of village health service,the village doctors and the village health rooms,as well as the satisfaction of the policies of village health service.The research and analysis in this thesis tries to figure out the existing problems and reasons of the village health rooms and to provide suggestions on the policy and the system to improve the present situation of the village health rooms in Shangzhou district.These could be beneficial and of importance for the development of health room in the mountainous areas with people living in abject poverty.
