Targets:To understand the status of compliance of hypertension among faculty and staff in a university,to explore the main factors which influence the compliance of hypertension among college workers,to provide effective basis for the school staffs and workers of hypertension prevention and management. Methods:The patient cases were from the clinic hypertensive patients in this University Hospital from January 2015 to March 2016.The university staff cases diagnosed with hypertension and took drugs more than one month.By using the self-designed basic information questionnaire, patients with hypertension related factors questionnaire and Morisky compliance questionnaire. The contents of the survey include basic demographic characteristics, factors related to hypertension and factors affecting medication compliance. We got total of 503 samples. The statistical analysis of demographic characteristics of hypertensive patients was carried out.The factors influencing the compliance of hypertension were explored by mean, standard deviation,chi-square test, variance analysis and single factor and multivariate logistic regression analysis.Results:1.the youngest patient in the survey was 21 years old,the oldest was 96 years old,and the average age is 65.56 ± 13.38 years old. Most of the patients are old man whose age arrange from 60 to 80 years old, accounting for 51.1%of the total cases in this survey. As the sex distribution in our survey, the male are 60.04%and the female are 39.96,respectively.The patients with family heredity account for 57.9%,the not-live-alone patients account for 87.1%.As for occupational distribution, teachers and administrative staff account for 54.7%in the total patients. The medication compliance of the teachers accounted for 44.90%.As for the distribution of title, the professors and associate professors are of 39.2%.The majority of the patients are retired employees. The course of hypertension is form one month to 60 years, with an average of 11.5± 10.12years.Moreover,the medication time is from one month to 60 years, with an average of 9.963±9.193 years. The average height of the respondents is 165.52 ± 9.58CM;the average weight is 67.34 ± 12.13KG,among which overweight accounted for 46.92%;work life pressure is low or very low accounted for 65.0%;daily sleep time greater than 6 hours accounted for 65.85%;Hypertension with other diseases accounted for 58.25%of patients. The patients who regularly measure the blood pressure are 46.1%and 45.5%patients who can often learn hypertension related knowledge through reading newspaper. The patients who take one kind of medicine every day are of 56.3%and those who take medicine once a day are of 54.7%.The patients who have side effects after taking medication are of 28.2%.The patients whoforget buying medicine again timely are of 82.3%.The patients who think the drugs are expensive accounted for 19.5%,a little expensive accounted for 50.1%and the patients who remember the timely medicine allocation were with 82.3%.2.The compliance rate of each factor was as follows. The compliance rate of female patients is relatively high and it is of 47.6%.The compliance rate of the patients, who diagnosed with hypertension from five to ten years,is of 42.38%.The compliance rate of the patients who have taken medication more than 20 years is of 48.57%.The compliance rate of the patients who are retired is with 43.82%.The compliance rate of teachers is of 44.90%.The compliance rate of teachers with intermediate title is 44.74%.The compliance rate of non-living-alone patients is 42.24%.The rate of compliance of patients with genetic patients is 40.89%.The rate of compliance of patientsaged 60-80 years is of 44.75%.The rate of compliance of patients with normal height and body mass index are of 44.18%.The rate of compliance of patients with non-complications is of 44.76%.The rate of compliance of patients who often do exercise is of 43.73%.The rate of compliance of patients, who think the work pressure is low,is of 43.12%.The rate of compliance of patients, who regularly measure pressure,is of 47.85%.The rate of compliance of patients, who have knowledge of hypertension through reading,is of 53.28%.The rate of compliance of patients, who think that pressure measurement is equally importantasmedication taking,is of 45.39%.The rate of compliance of patients, who measure blood pressure at least once per week,is of 45.17%.The rate of compliance of patients, who take drugs twice a day antihypertensive,is of 47.22%.The rate of compliance of patients, who take two kinds of drugs per day,is of 49.71%.The rate of compliance of patients, who have the habit of reserving antihypertensive drugs,is of 44.07%.The rate of compliance of patients, who can remember the timely collecting antihypertensive drugs,is of 45.17%.The rate of compliance of patients, who will not change the patient's medication program due to some exterior reason,is of 44.58%.The rate of compliance of patients, whothink that health care products cannot replace drugs,is of 43.36%.3,Of the 503 study cases,223 patients who had forgottenmedication, lllpatients who had not paid attention to medication,129 patients who had stopped medication after symptom improved,56 patients who had stopped medication due to exacerbations.Overall, the good medication compliance is of 41.15%.Conclusions:1.Single factor progressive regression analysis showed that many factors had a statistically significant effect on patient compliance. These factors are of Sex,course of disease, medication time, genetic, and with or without complications, eating habits in high salt, high fat diet, smoking, drinking;knowledge of hypertension, whether to measure blood pressure regularly, whether to understand the purpose of taking antihypertensive drugs, whether to understand the hazards of hypertension, know how to measure blood pressure and the importance of taking antihypertensive drugs, the frequency of measuring blood pressure, the type of antihypertensive drugs, the number of antihypertensive drugs taken every day, whether have the habit of reserving antihypertensive drugs, and whether timely purchasing of antihypertensive drugs, whether change drug programs due to subjective reasons or external,etc.2.Mmultiple regression analysis results showed that:many influencing factors, include drinking, understanding the knowledge of hypertension through reading and other ways, remembering timely dispensing, types of medication, changing medication program due to external causes, and treatment of hypertension with alternative medicine for health care products, were associated with patient drug compliance.
