Objective: To evaluate the curative effect of Modified Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction in the treatment of vertebral artery type of cervical spondylosis and to analysis its mechanism.Methods: 50 Japanese white rabbits were randomly divided into two groups according to their weight: one group was blank group(n = 10)and the other group was model group(n = 40).Compound CSA model was replicated by dynamic imbalance method combined with injection hardening agent.In each group after modeling 4 weeks,TCD was used to measure the vertebral artery near the injection side,including systolic flow velocity(Vmax),end diastolic velocity(Vmin),mean blood flow velocity(Vm),resistance index(RI),pulsatility index(PI).If Vmax,Vmin,Vm of the model control group,the experimental group and the positive control group were lower than the blank control group(P(27)0.05),PI and RI were higher than the control group(P(27)0.05),then checking the pathological sections,it is confirmed that the model was successful,After modeling success,in addition to the blank group,the remaining 40 rabbits were randomly divided into three groups,namely,model control group,low dose group,high dose group and positive control group(Jingfukang granule group),with each group of 10 rabbits.The positive control group was given1.2 grams per kilogram of body weight per day,and was diluted with distilled water of10 ml per kilogram of body weight;Low dose of experimental group was given Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction 3.6 ml per kilogram of body weight per day,high dose of experimental group per kilogram of body weight per day of 7.2 ml;The blank group and model control group were treated with equal amount of normal saline.After four weeks of treatment,After four weeks of treatment,TCD was used to measure the hemodynamic parameters of all rabbits and blood samples were taken for bloodrheology.After finishing the data of each index,the spss 22.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis.Results: Modified Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction can significantly increase Vmax,Vmin,Vm in experimental group,with PI and RI significantly reduced,it also can improve vertebral artery hemodynamics of the experimental group;The modified Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction can reduce the blood rheology index of the experimental group.Conclusion:1.Dynamic imbalance method combined with injection hardening agent has the advantages of short modeling time,high replication rate,safe and reliable,and can simulate the natural course of vertebral artery type of cervical spondylosis.2.Modified Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction can improve the vertebral artery elasticity,make the elasticity of blood vessels increase,it also can improve red cell activity,inhibit erythrocyte aggregation,improve blood flow of vertebral artery through the unit of time,and the effect of this aspect is basically equivalent to that of Jingfukang granule.3.The possible mechanism of modified Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction in treating cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type is to improve the vertebral artery elasticity,to improve red cell activity and inhibit erythrocyte aggregation,thereby accelerating the blood velocity of vertebral artery.
