The Resilience And Its Influencing Factors Among Women Undergoing In-vitro Fertilization-embryo Transfer Treatment

Objective:This study aims to understand the current situation of resilience among IVF/ICSI-ET women,and to analysis the related factors of their resilience,so as to provide correspoding implications to improve the resilience of IVF/ICSI-ET women and cope with infertility stress.Methods:240 women undergoing IVF/ICSI-ET treatment were recruited from two first-class hospitals of Nanchang.The data collection tools included general information and clinical information questionnaire,Connor-Davidson Resilience scale,General Self-Efficacy Scale,Perceived Social Support Scale,Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire and the Locke-Wollance marital adjustment measurement scale.T-test,variance analysis,pearson correlation analysis,and multiple stepwise linear regression analysis methods Were used.Results:1.The average resilience scores of 240 IVF/ICSI-ET patients were(61.96 ±11.75),the score of tenacity dimension was(29.06 ± 6.51),and the score of self-improvement dimension was(22.83±4.66),and the score of optimistic dimension was(10.00±2.45);the mean(SD)score of general self-efficacy was(1.68±0.46);and23.23(SD=3.19)for family inside support,41.53(SD=3.86)for family outside support,64.75(SD=5.91)for perceived social support;and 24.37(SD=4.84)for positive coping style,9.75(SD=3.44)for negative coping style;and 101.77(SD=16.67)for marital adjustment measurement.2.Univariate analysis showed that there were significant difference in resilience among patients with different age,education level,have children,the duration of infertility,type of infertility,the causes of infertility and the number of infertility(P<0.05);pearson correlation analysis showed that the resilience was positively correlated with general self-efficacy,family inside support,positive coping style andmarital adjustment(P<0.001).3.Multiple linear regression showed that general self-efficacy,positive coping style,marital adjustment,have children,the number of infertility,family inside support,education level,type of infertility and male factor were the main influencing factors of resilience and they accounted for 65.60% of variance in resilience.With the other conditions unchanged,take femal factors as a reference,the patients with infertility caused by male factors whose sore of resilience was 2.946 points higher than patients with infertility caused by female factors.Conclusion:1.The resilience of IVF/ICSI-ET patients was relatively low.Clinicians should not only pay attention to their resilience,but also take measures to improve it,then improve their mentation.2.General self-efficacy,family inside support,positive coping style and marital adjustment were positived correlated with resilience and its three dimensions.3.General self-efficacy,positive coping style,marital adjustment,have children,the number of infertility,family inside support,education level,type of infertility and male factor were the main influencing factors of resilience.Clinicians should pay attention to the reconstruction of their self-confidence,encourage them to adopt positive coping style to cope with infertility related stress and provide appropriate interventions to patients with marital disorders,encourage families to participate in various health activities,give more care to female patients.
