Objectives:To explore the application of information traceability system and traditional manual recording method of the risk factors in the treatment processing of ophthalmic instruments,and observe the qualified rate of instrument cleaning,the damage rate of instrument,qualified rate of package,rate of wet package and the qualified rate of package delivery,comparative analysis of the differences between the two methods in the traceability of ophthalmic instruments.To improve the quality of ophthalmic instruments,reduce the incidence of nosocomial infection,ensure the safety of patients,and also provide practical and convenient management methods of surgical instruments for the Central sterile supply Department.Methods:This study was a retrospective study.We selected the centralized treatment of ophthalmic instruments from Department on May 2016 to December 2017 in the Central sterile supply of a three class hospital in Nanchang that as the research object.The ophthalmic instruments were recovered as the control group,using the method of traditional manual recording in the first eight months.The ophthalmic instruments were recovered as experimental group,using the method of information traceability system management in the last eight months.The qualified rate of instrument cleaning,the damage rate of instrument,qualified rate of package,rate of wet package and the qualified rate of package delivery about ophthalmic instruments that the differences were compared and analyzed between the two groups.The information were collected and statistical analyzed.Count data is described by the Frequency(percentage)[(n)%],between the groups compared using chi square test.Results:1.General Information:The study was the centralized treatment of ophthalmic instruments in the Central sterile supply Department,the experimental group consisted of 1238 instruments package and included 21580 instruments,the control group consisted of 1203 instruments and included 21215instruments.There was no difference in the composition of the ophthalmic instruments between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Observation index2.1Qualified rate of instrument cleaning.The visual method,qualified rate of instrument cleaning in the experimental group and the control group that were97.57%,95.52%respectively,there has statistical significance in the number of qualified cleaning instruments between the two groups(?~2=135.044,P<0.001);5 times magnifying glass method,qualified rate of instrument cleaning in the experimental group and the control group that were 96.15%,93.94%respectively,there has statistical significance in the number of qualified cleaning instruments between the two groups(?~2=111.628,P<0.001);ATP bioluminescence assay method,qualified rate of instrument cleaning in the experimental group and the control group that were97.50%,91.67%respectively,there has statistical significance in the number of qualified cleaning instruments between the two groups(?~2=3.985,P<0.05).2.2The damage rate of instrument.The damage rate of instrument in the experimental group and the control group that were 0.03%,0.10%respectively,there has statistical significance in the number of damaged instruments between the two groups(?~2=8.546,P<0.05).2.3 The qualified rate of package.The qualified rate of packaging in the experimental group and the control group that were 96.20%,91.44%respectively,there has statistical significance in the number of qualified packages between the two groups(?~2=24.024,P<0.001).2.4The rate of wet package.The rate of wet packaging in the experimental group and the control group thatwere1.05%,3.49%respectively,there has statistical significance in the number of wet packs between the two groups(?=16.509,P<0.001).2.5The qualified rate of package delivery.The qualified rate of package delivery in the experimental group and the control group that were 97.98%,95.84%respectively,there has statistical significance in the number of qualified packages issued between the two groups(?~2=9.355,P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Compared the effect of the two groups,information traceability system was superior to the method of traditional manual recording in improving the qualified rate of instrument cleaning,reducing the damage rate of instrument,improving qualified rate of package,reducing the rate of wet package and improving the qualified rate of package delivery.2.The information traceability system tracked each process of the ophthalmic instruments in real time,and recorded the relevant data and information of each link,there found problems could also look up the reasons by recording.It was easily to find the risk factors in the treatment processing of ophthalmic instruments than the traditional manual records.3.This study confirmed that the information traceability system could effectively monitor the risk factors in the treatment processing of ophthalmic instruments,and provided a practical basis for standardizing the processing methods and operating procedures of ophthalmic instruments.
