Objective:(1)To evaluation on Effectiveness of National& Provincial Medium-to long-range Program(2004-2015)for Schistosomiasis Control, and summarize experiences and finding problem in the implementation.(2)To analyzing the endemic situation of schistosomiasis and snails on county-level,discover the spatial patterns, and explore high-risk areas to guide the schistosomiasis control.Methods:(1)Collecting schistosomiasis data from 2004 to 2015 in Hubei on county level, and analyzing the situation change and evaluating the effectiveness of the program according to the national evaluating schemes.(2)Establish a geography information database for schistosomiasis in the province, and analyzing the spatial aggregation of schisitosomiasis infection rate and snails using spatial autocorrelation by GIS.Results:(1)Hubei Province achieved control standards for schistosomiasis and schistosomiasis control standards in 2008 and 2013,respectively.From 2004 to 2015,the area of snails in the province was reduced by 37,556,700 square meters, and the infection rates of humans and schistosomiasis declined from 3.90% to 6.23% to 0.09% and 0%,respectively.(2)There was a spatial autocorrelation between the number of born and the area distribution of snails, which showed spatial aggregation at the county level in Hubei Province in 2004,2008,2013 and 2015.There was a spatial autocorrelation in the distribution of county-level residents' infection rates, which showed a phenomenon of spatial aggregation in 2008,2013 and 2015.Conclusion:(1)Obvious decline of schitosomiasis situation from 2004 to 2015 in Hubei, the goals of Medium-to long-range Program(2004-2015)for Schistosomiasis Control had been achieved.(2)The distributions of snails and schistosomiasis have spatial clustering.Low-value accumulation areas and high-value accumulation areas of various indicators were detected. This spatial heterogeneity suggests that the distribution environment of oncomelania snails in the area is complex, and the flood and flood disasters in the Yangtze River Basin have a greater impact on the distribution of snails and the epidemic of schistosomiasis in the region. Therefore, these areas are the focus of prevention and control work.
