Objective:To investigate the correlation between the serum magnesium ion concentration and chronic migraine patients by observing the changes of serum magnesium in patients with chronic migraine,it reveals chronic migraine which is blood deficiency collateral blood stasis syndrome the possible pathogenesis and mechanism, provides objective index for clinical diagnosis,in order to improve the diagnostic treatment and curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of chronic migraine. Methods : 120 patients with chronic migraine diagnostic criteria who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of He Nan University of traditional Chinese medicine from May 2016 to March 2017 were enrolled in this study, they were divided into experimental group and control group, there are 60 cases in experimental group for chronic migraine which is blood deficiency collateral blood stasis syndrome, there are also 60 patients in control group for chronic migraine which is not blood deficiency collateral blood stasis syndrome. The venous blood was taken in the fasting period of migraine attacking,,the serum magnesium ion concentration was measured and the degree of headache was evaluated by VAS score in two groups. Results :Through results of the analysis indicated that concentration of serum magnesium ions for the experimental group is(0.84 0.08)mmol/L,while,the control group of serum concentration of magnesium ion is(0.92 0.09)mmol/L,The serum magnesium ion concentration in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group(P < 0.05);while the pain score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(P < 0.05),the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion : The results showed that the serum magnesium ion concentration in patients with chronic migraine which is blood deficiency collateral blood stasis syndrome was decreased, which indicated that there was a correlation between serum deficiency of chronic migraine and serum magnesium ion.At the same time, the concentration of serum magnesium was correlated with the degree of headache. It is suggested that the decrease of serum magnesium ion concentration may be one of the mechanisms of chronic migraine which is blood deficiency collateral blood stasis syndrome; All of these can provide an objective index for clinical diagnosis,so as to improve the diagnostic level and therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of chronic migraine.
