Objective To assess the clinical value of Cord blood neutrophil CD64 in early diagnosis of neonatal infections with the preterm rupture of membrane(PROM).Methods100 newborns with PROM were divided into two groups according to the presence of infection,50 cases each group. The umbilical cord blood after birth,Then send cord blood neutrophil CD64 for test.Flow cytometry was used to examine CD64 level.White Blood Count(WBC),C-reactive protein(CRP),and cord blood neutrophil CD64 were compared between the above two groups. Results The cord blood neutrophil CD64 in the experimental group was significantly higher than the non-infected group(P<0.05),while the differences of WBC and CRP levels were not significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The Cord blood neutrophil CD64 is a reliable marker for the detection of early infection with PROM,and more sensitive than WBC and CRP in this population.
