Retrospective Analysis Of Jaw Cystoid Disease

Objectives: To make a retrospectively analysis in 250 cases with jaw cystoid disease,understand the type and the morbidity and provide the basis in the clinical prevention of jaw cystoid disease.Methods: 250 patients with jaw cystoid disease treated from January 2010 to March 2016 in Xinjiang Uyghur Aptonomous Region Public Hospital of stomatology department and The first Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang medical University stomotology department were selected.The patient's age,attack types and clinical features were evaluated.Results: The incidence rate of periapical cyst and odontogenic keratocyst for juveniles and adults was significantly different(P<0.05);the incidence rate of dentigerous for adults and juveniles was not significantly different(P>0.05);the incidence rate of ameloblastoma for adults and juveniles was significantly different(P<0.05);for patients with jaw cystoid diseaseat at the mandibular molar area,the incidence rate of enameloblastoma was 47.3%,followed by keratocyst(26.3%).For patients with jaw cystoid disease at mandibular angle and ramus area,the incidence rate of enameloblastoma was 54.6%,followed by keratocyst(36.3%)and dentigerous cyst(9.1%).For patients with jaw cystoid disease at maxillary anterior area,the incidence rate of periapical cyst was 72.4%,followed by dentigerous cyst(33.3%).For patients with jaw cystoid disease at maxillary molar erea,dentigerous cyst was 40.9%.There were 38 cases of adopting the marsupialization and elective resection(32.48%);the success rate of marsupialization reached up to 91%,for juvenile.Conclusion: For the juveniles with jaw cystoid disease,it is necessay to check the maxillary anterior area;as long as the patients have the periapical cyst,it needs to take the proper treatment.
