Background and aim: Endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)has been widely used as an alternative to surgical resection for patients with early-stage gastric mucosal lesions. However, large artificial ulcers are developed from ESD procedures, which results in a high risk of perforation and delayed bleeding.Proton pump inhibitors are widely used in the treatment of ESD-induced ulcers, but there has been no consensus regarding the optimal treatment for ESD-reduced ulcers, and 4 weeks of treatment is inadequate. Now,there have been reports of polaprezinc combined with PPI can improve the cure rate of ESD-induced ulcers. This study is performed to investigate the clinical effect of Polaprezinc combined with Esomeprazole in the treatment of ulcer after ESD.Methods: Eighty patients who underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from September 2015 to June 2016 were randomly divided into observation group(n = 48)and control group(n = 32),The combined use of Polaprezinc and Esomeprazole as the observation group,Esomeprazole alone as the control group, observed and compared the clinical effect of two groups after 4 weeks and 8 weeks treatment. Results: The ulcer healing rate in the observation group was 35.4%,in the control group was 15.6%.The clinical efficacy of the observation group was significantly better than the control group(P <0.05),statistically significant. The observation group in the active phase of ulcer in 3 cases, activity ratio was 6.25%,the control group of 7 cases of ulcer in the active phase, active phase ratio was 21.9%.patients in the observation group, the proportion of ulcer in active stage was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05),with statistical significance. After 8 weeks of treatment, all ulcers reached stage S and stage H.There was no significant difference in the healing rate between the two groups. Conclusions: The healing rate was low in both single drug or combined drug after 4 weeks treatment.Combined use of drugs can improve the healing of ESD-induced ulcers, can speed up the healing of ulcer, improve the quality of ulcer healing, prevent the occurrence of delayed bleeding and perforation, and is worthy of clinical application.
