Exploration Of Supervision System Of Inbound Infectious Diseases At Ningbo Port Under The Background Of International Sanitary Port Construction

International Sanitary Port is established in accordance with "International Health Regulations(2005)"(hereinafter referred to as "the Regulations")issued by World Health Organization.With fully-equipped health control and guarantee facilities as well as effective health management mechanisms,it meets the demands of international disease and nuclear injurious factor prevention and control,and has obtained WHO's approval as international port.The first part of this thesis introduces the conception of International Sanitary Port and the importance of the construction.In recent years,Ningbo has set up long-term health management mechanism aiming to improve the ports' health guarantee ability and increase public health emergency response capacity.The entire Ningbo Port is going to accomplish the construction by the end of 2016.The construction is very important in Ningbo city developing.The second part of this thesis gives a brief introduction of the supervision system of inbound infectious diseases at Ningbo Port under the background of International Sanitary Port construction.Collaborative departments at Ningbo Port established inbound diseases prevention and control mechanism according to the necessity of prevention and control new types of inbound diseases such as influenza A(H1N1)and Ebola hemorrhagic fever.This paper takes a comparison of the mechanisms of Ningbo Port and other advanced ports in different countries;analyzes the disadvantages of the current mechanism: lack of linkage and information sharing between collaborative departments,unfullfilment of frontline staff prevention measures and blocked information releasing channel.In conclusion,this thesis puts forward some suggestions of the improvement direction to the supervision system of inbound diseases at Ningbo Port: improvement of the cooperation between collaborative departments,improvement of staff's skills and establishment of information releasing channel with media.The point of reducing the cooperation departments is new.
