Clinical Treatment For Angle Class ? Malocclusion Patient

Objective: Discussion 2 cases of reduced first premolar orthodontic treatment for Angle Class ? malocclusion patients.Analysis for orthodontic treatment program design and clinical treatment result.Materials and Methods:Selected 2 cases of reduced first premolar orthodontic treatment for Angle Class ? malocclusion patients during the internship in Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Fujian Medical University.Case 1: Ms.Liu,Female,25 years old.Her main problem is bucktooth and asks for curing.After diagnosis,we find out her symptom belongs to Angle Class ? malocclusion,skeletal Class ?,average angle,Convex teeth,anterior deep overjet.The upper and lower teeth are slightly crowded and the midline is centered.The orthodontic treatment can be extraction,i.e.,pulling four first premolar teeth of the upper jaw and the lower jaw.The Alignment and retraction will be realized by the extraction space near the upper and lower anterior teeth.Establish normal occlusion of anterior teeth and try to improve the tooth profile.And extract four the third mandibular molars from the upper jaw and the lower jaw at the same time so as to improve the stability of long-term effect.Case 2:Ms.Lin,Female,15 years old.Her main problem is protrusion of anterior teeth and asks for curing.After diagnosis,we find out her symptom belongs to skeletal Class ?,Angle Class ? malocclusion,Convex teeth,anterior deep overjet.The upper and lower teeth are slightly crowded and the midline is centered.The method is reducedfour first molar orthodontic treatment.The Alignment and retraction will be realized by the extraction space near the upper and lower anterior teeth.Reduce the protrusion of anterior teeth and establish normal occlusion of anterior teeth.Make occlusal adjustment and try to rectify the tooth profile as possible as we can.Result: At the end of treatment,the occlusion of anterior and posterior teeth is normal.The extraction space is closed.The alignment of the teeth is neat.Posterior occlusion functions well.Soft tissue profile is well improved.Conclusion: The goal of treatment of malocclusion is balance,stability and beauty.For cases requiring orthodontic treatment by extraction,as long as orthodontic doctors have strict grasp of the indications and principles of tooth extraction,as well as conduct correct diagnosis and treatment design,then all these efforts can lead to a good treatment result.
