Objective:The purpose of this paper is to report the efficacy of nursing intervention on the recovery and nursing of patients with vocal nodules, which is evaluated by the voice acoustic parameters, voice related quality of life, subjective auditory perception of voice and laryngostroboscope before and after conservative treatment. Methods:A total of 74 female patients with vocal nodules were initially collected and randomly divided into conventional group(n=37)and intervention group(n=37),Furthermore,50 healthy female volunteers were selected as healthy group.Conventional group was given conventional therapy(medication, voice rest).Intervention group was given nursing intervention(health education of voice, voice therapy)for 8 weeks on the basis of conventional group.General information of whole people was collected. Before and after treatment,we collected the date from conventional group and intervention group as follows:(1)voice acoustic parameters;(2)voice related quality of life;(3)subjective auditory perception of voice;(4)laryngostroboscope.Collected the date from healthy group:(1)voice acoustic parameters;(2)voice related quality of life.General information of three groups were compared.Voice acoustic parameters and voice related quality of life were compared among three groups and the data within groups were compared in conventional group and intervention group.Subjective auditory perception of voice and laryngostroboscope of conventional group and intervention group were compared.Chi-square,t test,one-way ANOVA,rank test and spearman was used to analyze the data.Results:1.A total of 111 patients was finally enrolled in the study:31 patients of conventional group,30 patients of intervention group,50 volunteers of healthy group.Compared withgeneral information, the differences failed to reach statistical significance(P>0.05).2.Before the treatment, voice acoustic parameter and voice related quality of life were compared among conventional group, intervention group and health group:there were no differences between conventional group and intervention group(P>0.05);however,there existed significant differences between conventional group(intervention group)and health group(P<0.05).These results show remarkable differences of voice acoustic parameter, severity of voice disorder and quality of life in the vocal nodules compared with findings in healthy individuals. After treatment, the voice acoustic parameters and voice related quality of life in conventional(intervention)group were better than before(P<0.05).Compared the data of conventional group, intervention group and healthy group, the results illustrated that differences were statistically significant between conventional group and intervention group(P < 0.05)and it was also between conventional group and healthy group(P<0.05);however,the intervention group and the healthy group had no differences(P>0.05).The results showed that the condition of the patients in the intervention group and conventional group were both over, but the intervention group were better than conventional group.3.Subjective auditory perception of voice:there was no significant difference between the intervention group and the conventional group before treatment(P>0.05).And after treatment, the scores of the conventional group and the intervention group were decreased(P<0.05),but the intervention group was lower than the conventional group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The results demonstrated that the voice quality of the intervention group was better than that of the conventional group.Correlation analysis was carried out on the subjective perceptual evaluation of voice quality, its r value>0.7,good correlation(P<0.05).4.The result of laryngostroboscope was significant differences between conventional group and intervention group(P<0.05).Conlusion:1.It should be investigated and evaluated to the voice quality of patients with vocal nodules from different aspects, such as:the voice acoustic parameters, voice related quality of life, subjective auditory perception of voice and laryngostroboscope.2.The effect of conventional therapy combined with nursing intervention on vocal nodules was better than conventional treatment, nursing intervention was favourable to therecovery and the improvement of voice quality on patients with vocal nodules.
