Objective:By Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile(MBSIm P)and Rosenbek Penetration-Aspiration Scale, evaluate features of oropharyngeal dysphagia in PD from effeciency and safety and analyse its clinical correlates.Methods:1.Studied MBSIm P online and passed the official examine to get the certificate to use MBSIm P independently.2.Data collection and took Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Study(VFSS):During December,2015 to December,2016,consecutive inpatients were enrolled who diagnosed as Parkinson's Disease and met the inclusion criterions in the department of neurology, the first affiliated hospital of Shanxi Medical University.Collect their information about Parkinson's Disease. They were taken VFSS after informed consent.3.Doctors evaluated oropharyngeal dysphagia of patients by MBSIm P and Rosenbek Penetration-Aspiration Scale from effeciency and safety.4.Data analysis:statistical description of variables were taken based on data types.Statistics were analysed by Mann-Whitney U test and Cocharan's Q test,Spearman rank correlation.Test level was 0.05 and p?0.05 meant statistical significance.Results:1.40 patients were enrolled, including 21 males,19 females. All patients had different dysphagia symptoms both in oral and pharyngeal stages with mild-moderate severity.2.50 percent of all patients had penetration or aspiration symptom;7(17.5%)patients had aspiration,13(32.5%)patients had penetration;18(45%)patients had silent penetration or aspiration,2(5%)patients had both notable and silent aspiration. And the higher Hoehn&Yahr stage, the higher penetration or aspiration prevalence.3.Patients with penetration or aspiration symptom were significant different with that without penetration or aspiration symptom in Hoehn&Yahr stages,UPDRS totle score,UPDRS? score, duration and symptoms of pharynx.4.For patients in Parkinson's Disease, different foods had no effect on swallowing safety, but swallowing sequence was more dangerous.5.UPDRS total score,UPDRS? score were associated with oral and pharyngeal total score, penetration or aspiration score;Hoehn&Yahr stages were only correlated with oral totla score, penetration or aspiration score;duration with pharyngeal total score and penetration or aspiration score.Conclusions:1.Patients in Parkinson's Disease had different dysphagia symptoms both in oral and pharyngeal stages with mild-moderate severity.2.Penetration or aspiration in Parkinson's Disease was silent symptom which meant the sensation of patients' pharynx impaired.3.For patients in Parkinson's Disease, different foods had no effect on swallowing safety;but swallowing sequence was more dangerous.4.In terms of manifestation, the severity of dysphagia was postive correlated with Parkinson's Disease. But in view of clinicl disability, correlation between severity of oropharyngeal dysphagia and Hoehn&Yahr stages needed to explore.
