Objective:To survey the nutritional status of hospitalized Parkinson's disease patients with dysphagia, and explore the relationship between swallowing function and nutritional status in PD.Methods:1.Collect the data of the PD patients who were admitted to the neurology department of The First Affiliated Hospital Shanxi Medical University from November2016 to December 2017,including general information, the patient's condition, nutritional indicators, and related assessment(Short Form Mini-nutrition assessment,Swallowing Disturbances Questionnaire,Hamilton anxiety Scale,Hamilton Depression Scale,Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale,Activity of Daily Living).2.The patients were divided into nutritional normal group and abnormal nutritional status group according to their nutritional status, and analyze the related factors affecting their nutritional status.3.Divide the patients into two groups according to the SDQ,analyze the related risk factors affecting the swallowing function of PD patients. And then the indicators reflecting nutritional status were compared between the two groups.Results:1.Ninety-two of total patients were included in the study. The effective questionnaire rate was 90.20%.According to the MNA-SF,twenty-nine patients have anormal nutritional status(31.52%),forty-four cases have a risk of malnutrition(47.83%).And nineteen cases had been malnutrition(20.65%).2.Univariate analysis shows that age, education, weight,BMI,hypertension, age of onset, course of disease,H&Y stage,UPDRS Part III,LEDD,swallowing function, cognitive function, activities of daily living, anxiety, depression were statistically significant which were affecting their nutritional status.Multiple logistic regression analysis shows that factors were related to malnutrition including age, course of disease,LEDD,function of swallowing, cognitive function, activities of daily living.3.Univariate analysis shows that course of disease, disease severity, motor symptoms, anxiety and depression were significantly different that affect their swallowing function.Multiple Logistic regression analysis shows that the disease course and malnutrition had a correlation with swallowing function.Patients with dysphagia are prone to malnutrition according to the MNA-SF and albumin. Conclusion:Our study demonstrates that age, disease duration,L-dopa,dysphagia,cognitive function, activities of daily living are associated with nutritional status in PD.Patients with dysphagia that can be influenced by PD duration and nutritional status are more prone to malnutrition. So nutritional status and swallowing function should be screened regularly in order to avoid serious complications.
