Objective: To assess the effectiveness of Octreotide combined with Alprostadil on acute pancreatitis by meta. Methods:Relevant randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were reviewed via database like PubMed,CBM,CNKI,VIP and WanFang Data from the date of their establishment to October 2015,and we also collected the relevant literatures of the included studies. Two reviewers screened the references, assessed the quality of studies and extracted data.RevMan 5.2 software was used to complete the Meta-analyses.Results: 18 trials involvining 1277 patients were assessed.the analysis showed that compared with the control group, the experimental group was better in the following aspects: the clinical effective rate(RR= 1.20,95%CI 1.15 to 1.26),less time for alleviating bellyache(SMD= –2.68,95%CI –3.11 to –2.25),less time for signs of abdominal tenderness(SMD= –2.54,95%CI –2.79 to –2.30),less time for blood amylase(SMD= –1.95,95%CI–2.15 to –1.76),the lower rate of AP complications(RR= 0.30,95%CI 0.13 to 0.69),the average length of hospital stay(SMD= –8.95,95%CI –13.61 to –4.29).Conclusion: Octreotide combined with Alprostadil on AP is better than Octreotide. It provides a new therapy for AP.Due to the limited quality of the included studies, the above conclusion needs to be verified by more high quality studies.
