Objective The purpose of our study is to investigate the epidemiological characteristics,clinical characteristics and laboratory examination results of generalized pustular psoriasis.Comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different treatment programs,to provide a better reference for the prevention and treatment of the disease.Methods 159 cases of the inpatients with generalized pustular psoriasis during the past 11 years from January 2005 to December 2015 in the Ningxia Medical University General Hospital and the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region people's Hospital were collected.The date include the the age of onset,precipitating factors,history of previous psoriasis,ete.We summarize the epidemiological features,laboratory results and compare different therapeutic schemes.Results In the 159 cases of generalized pustular psoriasis patients,the actual patients is 128 people.Male:Female=1:0.86.The minimum age of onset was 6 months,the maximum age of onset was 78 years,.The average age of onset was 37.5 ±18.8 years old.There were 102 patients(79.7%)with previous psoriasis in the first episode.23 patients had a family history of previous psoriasis.There were 101 cases(63.5%)with definite predisposing factors,including inappropriate use of glucocorticoid(31 cases),infection induced(24 cases),and other drugs induced(33 cases).Temperature higherthan 37.2? was 68 cases(42.8%).The mild,moderate and severe cases respectively accounted for 22%,67.3%and 10.7%.In laboratory examination,76 cases with leukocytosis;12 cases with elevated ALT,7 cases with elevated AST;101 cases had hypoproteinemia;65 cases with hypocalcemia.23 cases of patients with impetigo bacterial culture was positive in 14 cases,46 cases of patients with blood culture was positive in 6 cases.After the treatment,the average recovery time was 10.2±7.5 days,the average hospitalization was 18 days.Conclusions1.The generalized pustular psoriasis inpatients was on the rise over the past11 years,and male inpatients was more than female.2.Common predisposing factors were inappropriate use of glucocorticoid,infections and inappropriate use of other drugs.3.Laboratory examination in most patients was white blood cells and neutrophils increased,serum calcium and serum albumin decreased.4.The treatment methods were diversified and individualized,and the compound glycyrrhizin combined with retinoic and methotrexate can reduce the side effects and improve the efficacy.
