Objective: To describe the status of anemia and to evaluate the time course of hemoglobin concentration in nonbleeding sepsis patients with ICU during hospitalization. Methods: All patients who received ICU from January 2015 to December 2015 in Ning Xia General Hospital of Medical Universit y were collected and analyzed. The blood samples of patients with severe ICU were colle cted and analyzed.Records of patients with general information, admission diagnosis, the Department of hemoglobin(Hb)values, into ICU within 24 hours of APACHE II score and SOFA score, hemoglobin(Hb)levels during ICU,days of hospitalization, collecte d blood loss, anemia status of patients in Department of entry, and the exclusion of patients with blood loss more than 50 ml and the remaining patients with sepsis and non sepsis patients were divided into two groups, understand the time course of hemoglobin concentration. Results: The General Hospital of Ning Xia Medical University in 2015,a total of 794 patients were treated, the final of the 251 patients met the inclusion criteria, during the entire ICU hospitalization,The incidence of anemia was 58%,patients with hemoglobin decreased by an average of 2.41 ±4.25g/ L/day.For the 210 cases of ICU stay longer than 2 days were 2 days before the hemoglobin decreased more than two the time of follow-up,148 patients hemoglobin changes: 7.8± 12.2g/L/day,after the 2 days the change of hemoglobin in 120 patients: 2.3 ± 14.1g/L/day(P<0.01).more than 2 days stay of hospitalization in patients with subsequent reduction in hemoglobin positively correlated with severity of illness, mainly reflected in the daily d ecrease in hemoglob in levels were positively related to APACHE II score and SOFA score(P=0.00 P=0.00).251 patients into the hospital receiving blood samples total 22.43±16.85 times, the average dail y number of blood was 4.16 ±1.71,the total blood volume was 74.4 5±45.90 ml,112 patients in sepsis, the average number of blood samples was 4.58±1.98,the total volume of blood taken per day was 100.24 ±55.54 ml,139 patients in non sepsis, the average number of blood samples per day was 3.83±1.37,The total volume of blood taken per day was 53.52±40.85 ml.In 251 patients, except for traumatic blood loss, intra operative blood loss, gastrointestinal bleeding more than 50 ml patients,a total of 57 patients were selected, including 36 patients with sepsis and non sepsis in 21 patients, hemoglobin in sept ic patients decreased to 2.31±2.56g/L/day,in non septic was decreased 0.92±2.34g/L/day(P=0.04).for more than 2 days hospitalization of patients, the sepsis patients hemoglobin decreased 8.28±12.92g/L,non sepsis patients hemoglobin decr eased 3.8±12.09g/L(P=0.30),after the second intensive care unit day, hemoglobin concentrations continued to decrease in the septic patients but not in the non septic patients(9.28 ±11.39 VS 1.25±6.68g/ L,P=0.03).Conclusion:1.Ningxia Medical Universi ty General Hospital ICU patients hemoglobin decreased significantly in second days after admission.2.The decrease of hemoglobin in patients with sepsis is related to the severity of the disease and the amount of venous blood.
