Background:Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)is one of the most common obstetric complications.GDM clinical complex,there is a greater harm to mother and baby,can cause a huge impact on pregnancy outcomes.Bioelectrical impedance analyze is a method for evaluating the body composition.Some researchers used the bioelectrical impedance method to measure the maternal body composition and to study its relationship with pregnancy outcome.Objective: To investigate the association of maternal body composition during pregnancy with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)and macrosomia.Methods :1029 cases were collected from November 10,2015 to June 15,2016 in Fuzhou General Hospital,which with complete clinical data about age,height,weight,BMI,basal metabolic rate and total water,muscle weight,fat mass,free fat mass,fat mass percentage,extracellular fluid and intracellular fluid,fetal weight.According to inclusion and exclusion criteria,652 cases were included.According to IADPSG diagnostic criteria,the cases were divided into gestational diabetes group and normal glucose tolerance group.According to the weight of newborns,the children were divided into two groups.Results: During the period from November 10,2015 to June 15,2016,the incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus and macrosomia in pregnant women in Fuzhou General Hospital of CHINA were respectively 13.99% and 6.13%.The risk factors of gestational diabetes mellitus were age and BMI(P < 0.05).The risk factors of macrosomia were GDM and free fat mass(P < 0.05).The risk factors of non gestational diabetes have mellitus macrosomia were free fat mass(P < 0.05).Free fat mass,fat mass percentage,basal metabolic rate is associated with neonatal birth weight(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Fat free weight(FFM)and GDM were risk factors of macrosomia,fetal macrosomia in pregnant women with high body fat.Free fat mass,fat mass percentage,basal metabolic rate is associated with neonatal birth weight.
