Objective:To study the expression and clinical significance of CD68 and TGF-?2 in BPH?Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia?,and to explore the role of macrophage mediated inflammation in the development and progression of BPH.Methods:The immunohistochemical PV two step method was used to detect the expression level of CD68 and TGF-?2 in 90 cases of BPH and the positive results of the degree and range of the cells were analyzed and compared with the clinical data. Results:The Positive rate of CD68 as macrophages marker was 86%?77/90?in the epithelial cells, the positive rate of TGF-?2 as Transforming growth factor marker was 79%?71/90?in epithelial cells and stromal cells. In 90 cases of BPH tissues of patients with paraffin immunohistochemical expression of CD68 and TGF-?2 examination.Data Spearman rank correlation analysis, found that CD68 and TGF-?2 expression showed a significant positive correlation?r=0.759,P < 0.01?.According to the degree of expression of CD68 and TGF-?2 divided into three groups, with the expression level increased, which aggravate the degree of inflammation, the prostate volume is larger, the IPSS?international prostate symptom score?higher, while the Qmax?maximum urinary flow rate?is lower, and between each two groups of data differences were statistically significant?P < 0.01?.Conclusion:1.There was a positive correlation between CD68 and TGF expression in BPH.2.CD68 and TGF-?2 showed high expression rates in BPH tissues, also had strong correlation with the clinical data. With the increase of the degree of expression, that is,the degree of inflammation, prostate volume gradually increased, the IPSS gradually increased, while the Qmax gradually decreased.3.The Inflammation mediated by macrophages is closely related to the occurrence and development of BPH,This point may indicate immune-inflammation play an important role in the pathogenesis of BPH and explore to complete the new therapy approaches.
