Objective:1.To investigate whether vitamin D deficiency is prevalent in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.2.To observe the effect of vitamin D supplementation on the curative effect of nasal polyps, and to analyze the correlation between serum vitamin D concentration and subjective symptoms and objective signs in patients with nasal polyps.Methods:1.A total of 40 patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps were enrolled in the Department of Otolaryngology, the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January 2016 to December 2016.The serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D deficiency was measured. Were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.2.All subjects were recorded in detail the age, height, weight, smoking history and drinking history, serum 25 hydroxyl vitamin D,serum eosinophil count and proportion, serum creatinine concentration.3.All subjects were enrolled in the endoscopic examination of Lund-Kenney score,by the same professional guidance to fill the nose nasal sinus outcome test 20,visual analog scale.4.According to Messerklinger surgical endoscopic surgery, the group therapy starts after the extraction of nasal packing. The experimental group received oral vitamin D(Sinopharm shark medicine)800UI/times 1 times/day + budesonide nasal spray nasal spray(Renault,64μg/spray,2 spray/times 1 times/day).The control group was givenonly budesonide nasal spray, followed for 8 weeks. After 8 weeks,serum25-hydroxyvitamin D was reviewed and Lund-Kennedy score,SNOT-20,VAS score were recorded.5.After the completion of the experimental data, the VAS score and SNOT-20 scale data for a unified order, were entered into Excel, and carefully checked and corrected.Snot-20 scale directly calculated entry score, statistical methods by SPSS21.0 Windows statistical software for processing and analysis. The test level is α = 0.05.Results:1.Screening 60 patients with serum vitamin D levels,80% of patients with VD deficiency(<50 nmol/L,2% underweight,46% moderate,52% mild).Suggesting that VD deficiency is prevalent in chronic rhinosinusitis.2.There was no significant difference in gender, age, height and body mass index between the experimental group and the control group.3.There was a Negative correlation between the level of preoperative VD and the percentage of serum eosinophils.4.There was no significant difference in the VD level between the two groups before the test. There was no significant difference between the two groups before and after the test. The difference of VD level between the two groups was statistically significant. The level of VD in the test group was higher than that in the control group.5.The main symptom scores of VAS were compared between two groups before and after treatment. Two independent samples of t-test were used to compare SNOT-20 score before and after treatment with chronic rhinosinusitis and Lund-Kennedy score. After treatment, the differences between the experimental group and the control group were statistically significant, and the scores of the patients were lower than those of the control group. The scores of the olfactory disorder symptoms between the two groups were statistically significant. The difference was not statistically significant. The scores of SNOT-20 and Lund-Kennedy scores between the experimental group and the control group were statistically significant. Conclusion:Vitamin D deficiency in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyp are more common.the concentration of serum 25-hydroxyitamin D of the patients’ s could increase after vitamin D supplement,so this method could produce a positive effect in clinical symptoms and quality of life after the ESS.
