Objective:To observe the efficacy of parecoxib on laparoscopic cholecystectomy for postoperative analgesia. Methods:One hundred and twenty patients who underwent LC were randomized to one of two groups with sixty patients each: Group A received pain pump and intravenous parecoxib sodium(40 mg)at 2,6,12,24 h after the operation;Group B received pain pump and intravenous saline solution(40 mg)at 2,6,12,24 h after the operation. The postoperative pain at the first day,the second day,the third day after operation was assessed using a visual analog scale.Secondary outcomes, including hospital stay after operation, the anus exhaust time, beginning to bed activity time, the amount of nighttime sleep, adverse reactions were also recorded. Results:At the first day,the second day,the third day after surgery,VAS pain scores were lower in Group A compared with Group B(P<0.05 for all). There was no significant difference between the two groups at hospital stay after operation(P=0.529).The anus exhaust time, beginning to bed activity time were significantly lower in Group A compared with Group B(P<0.05 for all).At the first day,the second day after surgery, the amount of nighttime sleep was significantly higher in Group A compared with Group B(P<0.05).The occurrence of nausea and vomiting was lower in Group A compared with Group B(P<0.05).Conclusion:Intravenous parecoxib sodium can significantly reduce postoperative pain, improve postoperative sleep time, promote the functional recovery and effectively reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions after LC.
