The medical bed-unit is an essential medical article in hospital.In the clinical work,Medical staff often use sheets wrapped mattress and pillowcase wrapped pillow in order to reduce the pollution of mattress and pillow,however the mattress and pillow also could be polluted by the liquid when there is a lot of blood or fluid bleed out of patient.A number of research results show that there is a significant correlation between the pollution of medical bed-unit and hospital infection.The bed-unit is the perfect place for pathogens to live;especially if the blood or fluid pollute on it and in the same time,the patient who lay on the bed-unit has obvious wound or low immunity could be lead to hospital infection.As the high incidence of Hepatitis B virus(HBV)in China,the carrying rate is 7.18% in the population.HBV has good stability,it can keep contagious after survived 6 months in the room temperature and the blood contained with HBV can also cause infection after drying a week.It is necessary that find a disinfection method to inactivate the HBV contaminated medical bed-unit,because the HBV carriers will pollute the mattress and pillow by blood or fluids which bleed out from the trauma and puncture easily during hospitalization.Bed unit ozone disinfection device is recommended by the Ministry of health of the People's Republic of China.It is more convenient than the chemical fumigation and pressure steam sterilization,and more effective than the ultraviolet,and moreover it is no poisonous substances residues after disinfection.So,we explore the effect of the bed unit ozone disinfection device and formaldehyde fumigation on HBV contaminated medical bed-unit.The method was evaluated with the carrier quantitative germicidal test.We divided the experiment into the positive group,the formaldehyde fumigation group and the ozone disinfection group.The carriers in the positive group were placed at room temperature,and the carriers in the ozone disinfection group and the formaldehyde fumigation group were disinfected in five different time(1h?2h?4h?8h?12h).After one disinfect time,the carriers in the three groups collected separately and then detected the expression of HBsAg and the levels of HBV-DNA using CLIA method and PCR method.After detected by CLIA and PCR,the expression of HBsAg and the levels of HBV-DNA in the positive group have not shown a significant change(p>0.05).In the ozone group,the expression of HBs Ag and the levels of HBV-DNA were decreased gradually with the extended time of disinfection;the expression of HBV was significantly turn to negative after disinfection of 12h(p <0.05).The expression of HBsAg and HBV-DNA in bed-unit of formaldehyde disinfection group was sterilized thoroughly after 2 hours(p <0.05).So,this research can be concluded: the bed unit ozone disinfector is not suitable for clinical use which purpose is to disinfect the HBV contaminated medical bed-unit,because the work time of inactivated HBV effectively is too long;and the effect of formaldehyde fumigation kill hepatitis B virus is exact without consider its irritating.It is suggested that there is no real effective method to disinfecting the bed-unit contaminated with HBV according to the above results.From these reason,our group has designed a new type of anti-pollution bed-unit which mattress and pillow were wrapped by a layer of polyurethane compounds,and add a layer of rapid replacement.The pollution of bed-unit can be reduced through the two waterproof cover;and the clean of bed-unit also can be kept by the simple terminal disinfection.
