The Analysis Of Risk Factors Of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo

Objective: To analyze the clinical features of the patients of benign paroxysm al positional vertigo,to understand the etiology and related risk factors of the disease,to explore and discuss the pathogenesis of BPPV and to provide a theoretical basis for the the clinical reduction of the prevalence of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo in our country.Methods: Retrospective analysis of the outpatients 150 cases from October 2015 to December 2016 in Gansu Provincial Hospital of Otolaryngology head and neck surgery,who accord with the inclusion and exclusion criteria and diagnosed of benign p aroxysmal positional vertigo.To carry out detailed records of the relevant medical hist ory and each patient for a detailed otology specialist examination,and were giving vid eonystagmograph tests,pure tone audiograms and cranial MRI.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS17.0.Univariate analysis: Two-class variables were compared by chi-square test.The relationship between multiple factors and the incidence of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo was analyzed by two-class classification Logistic regression analysis.To explict the independent risk factors of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.Results: 1.Analysis of statistical data,there were 12 factors associated with th e occurrence of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo,including Stroke(P <0.05),hypert ension(P <0.05),hyperlipidemia(P <0.05),and vestibular neuritis(P <0.05),Meniere's disease(P <0.05),Tympanitis(P <0.05),head trauma(P <0.05),cervical spondylopathy(P <0.05),migraine(P < 0.05),osteoporosis(P <0.05),gender(P <0.05),age(P <0.05),and there was two factors that were not associated with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo,including diabetes mellitus(P> 0.05),history of ENT surgery(P = 0.05).2.It is concluded by using a logistic regression to analyze the influencing factors that stroke,hyperlipidemia,Tympanitis,cervicl spondylopathy are the independent factors that cause benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.Conclusion:The incidence of benign paroxysmal paroxysmal vertigo were associated with stroke,hypertension,vestibular neuritis,Meniere's disease,otitis media,head trauma,cervical spondylosis,migraine,osteoporosis,gender.Among that,stroke,hyperlipi demia,Tympanitis,cervical spondylopathy are the independent factors that cause benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.Clinicians can fully consider the relevant risk factors when diagnosis and treatment of BPPV,development of effective preventive measures and treatment related etiology timely,prevent the occurrence of BPPV,improve the treat ment effect.
