Objective To observe the clinical effect of loop plate technique in the treatment of ulna coronoid fracture,and to compare the clinical effects of loop plate technique,mini plate fixation technique and nonoperative fixation method for the treatment of ulna coronoid fracture.Methods Using a retrospective analysis research the treatment of coronoid fracture cases,from June 2013 to June 2016 in the Department of orthopedics of Xi'an honghui hospital trauma hospital.48 cases were screened according to inclusion and exclusion criteria.According to the different fixation methods divided that into 31 cases of group loop plate technology,minitype plate and screw fixation group 10 cases,non operative and non fixation group were used in 7 cases.The postoperative fracture reduction,fracture healing,complications,elbow mobility,and elbow MEPS function were evaluated retrospectively.The clinical effects of different fixation methods were observed and compared.Results Loop plate technology group,a total of 31 cases have all reached anatomical reduction,no loss of reduction,and all reached bony union,Complications occurred in 3 cases,elbow joint angle of function reached 19.37-113.97 degrees,MEPS elbow function score,30 cases were excellent,good in 1 cases.Analysis of the effects of the three groups showed that loop plate technology group,minitype plate and screw fixation group and non operation group have statistically significance(P < 0.05)in the difference of fracture anatomical reduction,the difference of loss of reduction have statistically significance(P < 0.05),the difference of fracture healing have no statistically significance(P > 0.05).the difference of complications of postoperative patients have statistically significance(P < 0.05),the difference of the end follow-up of the elbow extension angle have statistically significance(P < 0.05),the difference of the end follow-up of the elbow flexion angle have statistically significance(P < 0.05),the difference of the end follow-up of the elbow function score have statistically significance(P < 0.05).Conclusions Loop plate technique in treatment of coronoid process fractures can obtain better curative effect,high rate of fracture anatomical reduction,good fracture healing,low incidence of postoperative complications,and postoperative elbow joint function is good.The clinical effect is better than mini plate fixation and non operation fixation.
