Objectives A retrospective analysis of our hospital clinical treatment of fracture of ulnacoronoid process, to explore the operation treatment of coronoid process fracture, internalfixation operation approach and its application to rehabilitation, to choose a scientificmethod of treatment, provide objective basis for patients to get the maximum of theelbow joint function, and puts forward the problems and problems in the treatment ofcoronoid process fracture, preliminary established the method and thinking of clinicalresearch. Methods The choice of the coronoid process of the ulna from2009to2012in ourhospital were fracture patients with21cases, male18cases, female3cases; age16~64years, average34.5years;11cases were on the left, on the right side in10cases; cause ofinjury: injury in12cases,9cases of traffic accident. The coronoid fracture blockaccording to the Driscoll type, the corresponding operation treatment in19cases, amongthem, bone fragments were resected in1cases, absorbable screw fixation in9cases,other internal fixation (Kirschner, mini plate, suture) in9cases, conservative treatment in2cases of a plaster. All cases were followed for an average of a year, according to thefinal follow-up evaluation of elbow joint HHS score standard. Results All patients were followed up for6in25months, average12months follow-up,patients incision healed, no infection, all fractures healed after operation, the averagehealing time of13weeks. Operation treatment of patients according to HHS scores,6cases were excellent, good in8cases, in3cases, poor in2cases. Non operation treatmentin patients with elbow function rating: in2cases, poor in0cases. Excel to the databaseafter finishing, collected more than40samples by SPSS16.0chi square test was used tocalculate P value, and when the total sample size is less than40, tested by FISHER’sexact test using SPSS16.0statistical software, the test can be directly calculated values ofP, P<0.05is the difference has statistical significance. Patient satisfaction with treatmentof operation and conservative treatment was90.5%(P>0.05),Discharge results acceptablerate was90%, the final follow-up results can accept81%(P>0.05), according to the useof fixed operation to treat different after the elbow joint HHS score to evaluate theexcellent and good rate reached56%(P <0.05). Conclusions The21patients in our hospital were retrospectively summarized andconsults the related literature, the following conclusions can be drawn:1the coronoidprocess fracture of the coronoid process fracture complicated with elbow in other parts ofthe patients occurred alone fracture treatment effect is poor;2the most of the coronoidfracture should receive surgical treatment, recovery of elbow joint anatomy and repair ofthe lateral collateral ligament normal, early functional exercise after the operation, restorethe function of elbow joint;3treatment of the coronoid process fracture according toDriscoll classification choose a different treatment strategy.;4"Terrible triad of theelbow" is a high energy injury, once diagnosed, should be treated with operation.;5operation approach should be selected according to the simple coronoid fracture type, combined with other parts of the elbow fracture and other factors to consider.
