Background: With the development of society,people's living standards continue to improve,in terms of diet and lifestyle has changed dramatically.From the diversity of food,today's diet food,the sweet,sour,and pungent appear increasing trend.The pungent taste not only loved by the people,pungent taste food is also very highly consumed.This consumption would affect the body's pho bavi me drod mechanism,which is basic human essence of digestion system,the balance disorder can cause more harm to the body.Therefore,reasonable consumption of all aspects of the eating pungent tastes food,which leads to increase the head in the stomachic and gastric enzyme balance.This can create healthy and longevity to improve the quality of life.Objective: This research studied on the relation between literature and practice on eating pungent food and medrod as the core objective.1,To explore the nature and function of pungent food in the diet intake status.2,To explore the theory and practice to identify pho bavi me drod level rating scale.3,To summary the causes of the pungent food to pho bavi me drod.4,To analyze the relationship between sociocultural factors and pungent diet and pho bavi me drod.5,To identify the guidance according to the individual's physical,age,different seasons and reasonable diet.Method: There are two methods are used in this research.First is literature research: 1)exploring the classic Tibetan ancient medicine textbooks to identify the frequency of pungent food intake literature.The comparison and analysis of properties of pungent medicine and food in the literature in order to know the benefits and eating proper food;2)the definition and concept of pho bavi me drod in the structure of the stomach.In the theory and practice,to collect regard all aspects of pho bavi me drod.Regard pho bavi me drod in the Tibetan Medicine compare to Biomedicine concept of gestation and body system in order to define the standard level of pho bavi me drod in Tibetan Medicine.Second field investigation: Using the self-administrative questionnaires to 437 students at the Tsongon University Tibetan Medical College and collected data.Then used the 2013 Microsoft Excel,and 2013 Microsoft Access unified the data.Also used statistical software of SPSS Statistics 20 anylized the data.The methods are used were X2 test,independent sample t test,paired sample t test,bivariate correlation analysis Speearman,and regression curve estimation methods for data analysis.Results: Result of literature research are: 1,Based on the food and medicine in the ancient Tibetan Medicine literature,pungent tasted food and medicine are common.The pungent tasted food and medicine can benefit pho bavi me drod disorders and stomachic problems as well as Pekan disorders described in Tibetan Medicine.Pungent tasted food and medicine has functions of digestion,Chuser,Sin disorder,destroy tumor,urinary retention and etc.If overly consume pungent taste food and medicine can cause syncope,spermatorrhea,limbs,body trembling,curled up waist and leg pain,back and chest rib pain,body weakness,constipation,halitosis,yellow and greasy fur,thirst and other symptoms.2,According to the literature,the medrod is the nature of three Nyipas,it is the Pekan mixed function,m Khripa digestion,and r Lung hot.However,it is occupied by the m Khripa digestion and medrod is very important essence of the physical body.The symptoms of excessive medrod is easy digestion,body heat,stomach pain,bad breath,Easy sweating,thirsty,headache,yellow eyes,diarrhea yellow,Lethargy,yellow tongue fur,and yellow skin.Deficiency of medrod symptoms are indigestion,postprandial discomfort,gastric fullness,lazy,bloating,diarrhea,hypothermia,hiccup and vomiting,diurnal sleepiness,constipation,and bowel.Field investigation results are current situation of consumption of pungent food and medicine,relationship between intake pungent and outcome of the onsumption.Current situation,1)people intake pungent food and medicine increased,especially for a day and a day eating spicy,pungent food diet one or two times the total number of 80%,eat spicy or less spicy accounted for 85%;2)a lot of young people's medrod imbalance and the emergence of excessive or decline symptoms,of which medrod decline symptoms accounted for the most.Association of intake pungent diet and medrod,there is a close relationship between the intake pungent diet and medrod(P<0.05),with the increase of pungent food;medrod excessive or declinesymptoms also increased and aggravated;2)pungent dietary variables are if reasonable,whether to eat snacks,pungent food,barbecue,and so there is a certain relationship with the medrod;with the increase of intake those food,the symptoms is also increasing;3)with different gender,diet intake and pungent medrod,had significant difference(P<0.05).Girls eating pungent food intake more and medrod,so symptoms were higher;4)with the increase of age,reduce the pungent diet intake,can increase the symptoms(P<0.05);5)The habit of eating spicy food,pungent food intake is very high and the medrod decline of the symptoms increased(P<0.05);6)On reasonable diet,pungent food intake is low,and also reduce the symptoms(P<0.05);and 7)With over eating pungent food,and its symptoms are also increasing.Conclusion: The nature of pungent,sour,and salty food or medicine are common,especially pungent is the highest frequency occurred in the literature of Tibetan Medicine.So,three of those tastes have the highest function of increasing medrod.Therefore,Pungent taste has meaningful for research.Based on the field investigation,intake spicy food is increasing among the population diet,which may cause many health disorders and spicy can be a burden of health for all ages of population.Therefore,properly consume spicy food base on time,environment,nature of the body,age to intake is suggested for wellness and health.
