Experimental Study On Treatment Of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver With Zhigan Prescription

Objective:(1)To explore the mechanism of Zhigan prescription in the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.(2)To decide wether it is necessary to use Zhigan prescription along with tiopronin in the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver.Methods: 70 Wistar rats were randomly divided into two groups: the control group and experimental group.After 5 weeks feeding with high fat emulsion,3 rats were sacrificed.Pathology showed the model is established.The rats were divided into model group,natural recovery group,Zhigan prescription group,tiopronin group and combination therapy group(Zhigan prescription + tiopronin)group.After 4 weeks of treatment,the pathological changes and Related serological indicators were tested.Results:(1)Serum levels of LPS,TLR4,IL-6,TNF-? and HOMA-IR were elevated in the model group and the control group,and the OCR of small intestine was decreased with statistically significant.(2)For HOMA-IR,serum LPS,AST and other indicators,the outcome is better in combination therapy group than those in other groups.(3)For serum TC,TG,LDL-c,IL-6,TNF-?,liver TLR4,small intestine OCR and other indicators,combination therapy shows no evidence to have a better result.Conclusion: Zhigan prescription is able to treat NAFLD through LPS/TLR4 signaling pathway.The combination therapy can improve the situation in the first hit in its progress.Zhigan prescription can reduce TG in serum,and there is no evidence that shows tiopronin will enhance the effect.
