Clinical Study On Treating Chronic Renal Failure With Huazhuojiedu Decoction

Objective:Based on the theory of "Zhuodu",the patients with chronic renal failure(CRF)were treated with Huazhuojiedu decoction.Through clinical observation of its efficacy and safety,the clinical study would provide a curative treatment for patients with chronic renal failure.Methods:180 cases of chronic renal failure patients were selected in Department of nephropathy of Hebei Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine.Serum creatinine of all cases remained stable below442umol/L for 3 months.All cases were randomly divided into 92 cases of huazhuojiedu treatment group(treatment group)and Niaoduqing treatment group of 88 cases(control group).The two groups were based on the routine treatment of Western medicine.The course of treatment was 3 months.By observing the changes of symptom scores,blood urea nitrogen(BUN),blood uric acid,serum creatinine(Scr),endogenous creatinine clearance rate(Ccr),hemoglobin(Hb),plasma albumin(Alb),triglycerides(TG),cholesterol(CHOL),And 24 hours urinary total protein(UTP).We could explore clinical efficacy of Huazhuojiedu decoction in the treatment of chronic renal failure.Results:1 The total effective rate of the treatment group was 86.59%,the total effective rate of TCM syndromes were 92.68%,and the control group were respectively 68.75% and 71.25%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).2 There was no significant difference in TCM syndrome score between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).3 There was no significant difference in renal function between the two g groups before treatment(P>0.05).BUN,Scr and UA decreased significantly(P<0.01)and Ccr increased significantly(P<0.01)in both groups before and after treatment.After treatment,the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).4 Before treatment,blood lipid indexes of two groups were no significant difference(P>0.05).The comparison of two groups before and after treatment,CHOL and TG were significantly decreased(P<0.01).After treatment,the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).5 The levels of hemoglobin and serum albumin in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).6 There was no significant difference in 24h-UTP between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).The comparison of two groups before and after treatment,24h-UTP were significantly reduced(P<0.01),but the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).7 No serious adverse reactions were found during the course of treatment.Conclusion: 1 The use of huazhuojiedu Decoction in treatment of chronic renal failure,clinical symptoms and renal function were obviously improved,correction of renal anemia,improve plasma albumin and creatinine clearance rate,reduce blood lipids and 24 hours urinary total protein,thus delaying the progress of chronic renal failure course.2 There was no obvious adverse reaction in the treatment of two groups of patients,its safety worthy of recognition.3 To sum up,it is a safe and effective method to improve the symptoms and laboratory indexes,and is worthy of further clinical application and popularization.
