Study On The Incidence Of DDH In Children Under 5 Years Old In Heze Area Of Shandong Province

Objective Developmental dislocation of the hip(developmental dislocation of the hip,DDH)is children orthopedic common disease.The DDH was serious harmful to the health of the children.It was one of the congenital malformations all over the world.If DDH was not given the right treatment,the hip joint would occur a series of pathological changes,and irreversibly progress happen to osteoarthritis eventually.This phenomenon would send the life quality of patients down severely,and bring heavy burden to the society.So far,the detailed mechanism of DDH was not clear at home and abroad.There were big differences between areas.The number of patients in Southwest region is more than others with high incidence.With so many patients with DDH,but for the disease incidence,treatment rate,gender distribution,age distribution and other aspects of the lack of complete statistical data in our province.We just known that it was connected with race,sex,heredity,region,season,environment and living habits,but the specific relevance among them was still unclear.So,with the help of my tutor,I make extensive investigation in He Ze.We can do prevention and publicity work of DDH from Sociological Perspective with the result of the research study.Methods We using the method of census in this study.We carried out interview in parents or other guardians whose children are under 5 years old.Questionnaire i ncludes two parts,the first part :age,sex,residence environment.the second part :the seas on of birth,weight,fetal presentation,born way,genetic history,whether preterm birth,bundle and how long,etc.Then we did statistical processing by co mputer after the questionnaire summary,and analyzed the incidence of DDH,sex difference,related factors,etc.Results 1.This study investigated 550305 cases,includes 2196 patients with DDH,the prevalence is 4‰.2.In about 2979.000 cases of male,there are more or less 406 patients w ith DDH.The prevalence is about 1.4‰.In 2546.000 cases of female,there are1790 patients with DDH.The prevalence is about 7‰.Male and female ratio is 20%.3.The case rate of the abnormal hip of left side was higher than the b ilateral sides,and the lowest was on the right side.4.The risk factors associated DDH include : sex,family history,premat ure birth,breech presentation,caesarean birth,first child,born in cold season,swa ddling wraps,lower limb lifting when born.Conclusion 1.The overall prevalence of DDH is 4‰ in He Ze of Shan Dong provi nce.2.The female prevalence rate is about 7‰.The male prevalence is a bout 1.4‰.Male and female ratio is 20%.3.The case rate of the abnormal hip of left side was higher than th e bilateral sides,and the lowest was on the right side.4.The incidence of DDH have obvious correlation with sex,family h istory,premature birth,breech presentation,caesarean birth,first child,born in col d season,swaddling wraps,lower limb lifting when born5.Ultrasound screening should be widely carried out in infants and young children in Heze,especially for the high-risk population.It will be benefit for early det ection,disease intervention and reducing morbidity...
