With the rapid development of science,the new-style fighter has the characteristics of high G,high growth rate and high angular acceleration.This change makes a higher demand for vestibular function of pilots.Larger acceleration load may affect vestibular otolith system.If it surpasses the limitation of physical endurance,pilots would appear airsickness,spatial disorientation and other symptoms,which could endanger air safety in flight.Therefore,good vestibular function is essential to ensure combat effectiveness of pilots in the high performance of fighter flight.The adequate adaptation of the flight environment is especially important for people working in special circumstances.Vestibular habituation training is the most effective link to improve the vestibular stability,which can be used to correct the motion sickness or vestibular autonomic nervous response.At present,most of the vestibular training methods used by our military pilots mainly include the active training and the passive ones by special equipments.It is found that these methods can't stimulate the vestibular canal and otolith system simultaneously,and be lack of evaluation of autonomic nervous response before and after training.To solve those problems,we developed electric 3D roller characterized by adjustable rotate speed and time to change stimulation intensity.Accompanied by vestibular stimulation,multi-angle and multi-azimuth body rotating and followed blood transfer make this device to simulate the actual flight better.Vestibular system isn't only relevant to airsickness or spatial disorientation,but nearly participates in all pathways of autonomic regulation through neural pathway.In recent animal and human experiments,we found that vestibular system participates blood regulation by “vestibulo-sympathetic reflexes” in early phase of posture changes.Whether the changes of vestibular function generated by vestibular training affect the regulation of blood pressure is not clear.And whether the change of vestibular function caused by 3D roller will bring the similar effects will be raised.It is generally known that the regulation of cardiovascular system is crucial to confront blood transfer caused by the loading of high sustained +Gz acceleration on the maneuverable flight for fighter-pilots.Therefore,before 3D roller can be used for vestibular training in army we need make clear that the regulation of cardiovascular system during and after 3D roller training.This research will focus on changes of vestibular function and the regulation of cardiovascular system caused by 3D roller and carry on the following experiments.1 The changes of vestibular function and regulation of cardiovascular system during 3D roller exposure The goal of this experiment is to compare the evaluation of vestibular function and cardiovascular autonomic regulation between 3D roller and electric swivel chair(SC).Fourteen healthy male subjects were exposed on a 3D roller and SC to elicit vestibular stimulation.And the changes of blood pressure,heart rate,heart pump function and autonomic nervous system can be observed during the exposure.Physiological parameters recorded on pilots can be used for analyzing HRV and balance tester can be used foranalyzing static standing balance function.The results show that SBP and DBP decreased significantly during early 30 s of 3D roller exposure and recover gradually compared with pre-stimulation,but no significant difference could be seen in SBP and DBP during SC.HR and CO increased significantly during 3D roller and SC exposure,but no significant difference could be seen in SV.Comparing with before and after vestibular stimulation,TPR decreased significantly during 3D roller exposure in most of time.But there was no significant difference during SC.Balance function before and after 3D roller and SC exposure was no significant difference.Comparing with before and after vestibular stimulation,the value of LF/HF decreased during 3D roller and SC.These results suggest cardiovascular characteristics by 3D roller are quite inconsistent with SC exposure.2 Effects of 3D roller exposure on vestibular function and regulation of cardiovascular system This experiment makes use of 3D roller to stimulate fourteen healthy males to observe vestibular function and cardiovascular autonomic regulation in HUT stress before and after vestibular stimulation.The results showed that BP and TPR decreased significantly during HUT after 3D roller vestibular stimulation.No significant difference could be seen in HR and SV in phase of HUT.WPL and CA remained unchanged after vestibular stimulation.These results suggest 3D roller vestibular stimulation may affect cardiovascular autonomic regulation.3 Effects of 3D roller vestibular training on vestibular function and regulation of cardiovascular system The experiment makes use of 3D roller to train eleven healthy male subjects to observe vestibular function and cardiovascular autonomic regulation in HUT stress before and after vestibular training.The results showed that the value of LF and LF/HF decreased and HF increased during vestibular training.The trend of rising could be found in the Graybiel grades of vestibular function during the early three days and stable trend from the fourth day to the sixth day.The circumference area showed a significant increase after vestibular training.As compared with pre-stimulation,SBP,DBP and MAP decreasedsignificantly during early 10 s HUT after 3D roller vestibular training and recovered gradually.These results suggest vestibular training that ended in light and moderate autonomic nerve symptons a day for seven day can be cultivated to vestibular habituation in some ways,but incomplete vestibular habituation may affect the effects of vestibular organs on balance function and cardiovascular autonomic regulation.In a word,this research explores the feasibility of vestibular stimulation,the characteristic of cardiovascular response and the cardiovascular autonomic regulation in HUT stress.These results suggest 3D roller can be used to evaluate the stability of vestibular function,and a single vestibular stimulation induced by 3D roller may affect cardiovascular autonomic regulation.Vestibular training that ended in light and moderate autonomic nerve symptoms for seven days can be cultivated to partly vestibular habituation,but incomplete vestibular acclimatization may affect the vestibular organs on balance function and cardiovascular autonomic regulation.
