Analysis Of Academic Characteristics Of Acupuncture And Moxibustion On Gong Tingxian

Objective: Through the collation of relevant acupuncture literature in Wan Bing Hui Chun and Shou Shi Bao Yuan of Gong Tingxian's major works,summarizing the academic characteristics of acupuncture and moxibustion,and carding life,works,subsequent influence.Methods: Using the method of traditional Chinese medical literature,and discuss Gong Tingxian's life,works,academic characteristics of acupuncture and moxibustion,and its subsequent influence of him.Results: Gong Tingxian youth abandoned the confucian and followed his father to study medicine,traveling to practice medicine after decades,returning hometown of old age to concentrate on writing,for Wan Bing Hui Chun and Shou Shi Bao Yuan most profound.The two books promoted acupuncture development of the Ming and After the Ming dynasty,Japan and Korea.He attached importance to anatomy and meridians and acupuncture points,further put forward the eye points by the meridians differentiation and fetus nourishment from month to month,emphasizing on the guiding role of meridian theory to drug treatment;He was good at using moxibustion umbilical,ironing umbilical,drug applying in umbilical various refining methods;Gong Tingxian often made use of moxibustion according to clinical syndrome.The moxibustion were varied and treated a wide range of diseases.He systematically discussed mang problems,such as moxibustion points and matters needing attention,and applied acupuncture methods at the same time,payed attention to taboo of acupuncture;Gong Tingxian used 42 kinds of external treatment methods.Conclusion: Gong Tingxian had profound attainments in the field of acupuncture and moxibustion.His academic characteristics of acupuncture and moxibustion was rich and comprehensive,which promoted future development of acupuncture and moxibustion science greatiy.
