Objective: To explore the relationship between stigma and cognitive coping strategies of depression patients, and the influence of clinical medicine and psychological intervention on the stigma and cognitive coping strategies.Method: A total of 155 depression patients were collected from Jining Psychiatric Prevention Hospital from February 1,2016 to November 31, including 66 male and 84 female. The subjects were randomly divided into the study group and the control group, and all the patients were given antidepressant treatment and routine psychiatric care. The study group was given psychotherapy for 4-6 weeks additionally. All subjects were assessed with the self-made general situation questionnaire, mental illness stigma assessment scale, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ), Dysfunctional Attitude Scale (DAS) and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) before and after treatment. All the data were analyzed by SPSS 19.0 software.Results:(1)The score of adaptive strategy was negatively correlated with the score of stigma (p < 0.05). The score of inadaptive strategy and stigma scores were significantly correlated (p < 0.05). Stigma score reduction and adaptive strategy score reduction was negatively correlated(p < 0.05). The total score of BDI and score of stigma was significantly correlated (p < 0.05). The total score of BDI was negatively correlated with the score of adaptive strategy(p < 0.05). The total score of BDI and in adaptive strategy was significantly correlated (p < 0.05).Adaptive strategy plays a mediating role between the degree of depression and stigma, the mediating effect to the total effect rate is 12.32%, (2) Stigma scores were significantly positively correlated with DAS scores. (3) In depressive patients, the factors of total score of BDI and perfection entered the total score of stigma regression equation in turn. The factors of perfection, total score of BDI, positive reappraisal and hospitalization times entered the social factor regression equation in turn. The factors of total score of BDI entered the ability factor regression equation. The factors of total score of BDI, seek approval entered the treatment factor regression equation in turn. (4) After the treatment, the study group in the score of stigma, inadaptive strategy scores, DAS scores was significantly lower than the control group (p < 0.05). The scores of adaptive strategy were significantly higher than those of the control group (p < 0.05). (5)All subjects after treatment in scores of stigma, inadaptive strategy score, and DAS score were less than pretherapy (p < 0.05 ) . The score of adaptive strategy was higher than those before treatment (p < 0.05).Conclusion:(1) There is a relationship between depression stigma and cognitive coping strategies. In the face of negative life events, patients who used to use adaptive strategy have lower stigma level. With the improvement of cognitive coping strategies, the stigma of patients was also improved. (2) Adaptive strategy and dysfunctional Attitudes play a mediating role between the degree of depression and stigma. To take the adaptive strategy and improve the dysfunctional cognitive model can reduce the influence of depression on the stigma. (3) Stigma in patients with depression disorder was positively related to dysfunctional attitude, the more distorted cognition they hold, the stronger stigma they have.(4)Cognitive behavioral therapy in reducing the stigma of patients with depression, improving cognition, is better than pure drug therapy.
