BackgroundChronic obstructive pulmonary disease is one of the most common diseases of respiratory system with very high incidence, easily complicated with osteoporosis.Osteoporosis and fracture can aggravate the morbidity, and even lead to death.Related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, secondary osteoporosis risk factors include: lack of oxygen, inflammation, smoking, glucocorticoid, nutritional deficiencies, and parathyroid hormone. Some studies found that different national and regional populations are different in terms of both the disease prevalence and the risk factors. This study tends to investigate whether there is a difference between Uighur and Han living in Xinjiang region regarding chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and osteoporosis risk factors.ObjectiveThis study tries to explore the risk factors of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(copd)secondary osteoporosis in Uighur male cases vs.Han male cases for Xinjiang secondary osteoporosis prevention and control of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(copd)to provide the reference.MethodsThe data was collected from 107 patients in Xinjiang hami district central hospital,Hami hongxing hospital respiratory medicine from October 2015 to December 2016 in hospital patients.Out of this 107,56 were Uighur male cases and the remaining 51 were the Han male cases. The data was collected by asking the patients' history, physical examination, and pulmonary function examination diagnosis for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and also by the dual energy X-ray bone density meter clear diagnosis of male patients with osteoporosis. Two groups of patients were testing like oxygen partial pressure of oxygen index, inflammation index c-reactive protein, parathyroid hormone levels, according to height, weight and quantity calculating body mass index, smoking survey and calculation amount, research history of age,and use of systemic corticosteroids, were carried out respectively and also some comparisons were made regarding patient's age, oxygen partial pressure,CRP,parathyroid hormone, body mass index, smoking history and use of systemic corticosteroids in two groups.ResultsUighur groups: age was(68.95±6.56),and oxygen partial pressure(57.89±6.38)mmHg,c-reactive protein(52.40±59.50)mg/l,parathyroid hormone for(55.98±35.92)pg/ml,body mass index of(19.21±2.71)kg/m2,smoking is(20.73±17.92)package/year;Han groups: age was(68.12±7.12),and oxygen partial pressure(59.21±6.23)mmHg,c-reactive protein(56.57±51.04)mg/l,parathyroid hormone for(39.52 ±30.31)pg/ml,body mass index of(21.98±3.96)kg/m2,smoking is(15.47± 14.72)package/year;Age in the two groups(P > 0.05),no statistical difference;parathyroid hormone, body mass index, two risk factors(P < 0.05),statistically difference.Oxygen partial pressure,c-reactive protein and smoking amount, three risk factors(P > 0.05),no statistical difference;History of glucocorticoid use,Uighur group of 27 cases(56 cases),the Han nationality group 28 cases(51 cases),?2 value of 0.29,P > 0.05 no statistical difference.ConclusionThe onset of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease secondary osteoporosis risk factors exist the ethnic differences;Lower body mass index and higher parathyroid hormone levels in secondary to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease osteoporosis Uighur groups than the Han nationality.
