Objective:To detecte the contents of cardiovascular diseases(CVD)markers includs Leptin(LEP)and homocysteine(HCY)in HIV infected patients during Highly active antiretroviral therapy(HAART)process to investigate the value and early diagnosis of the indicators in CVD with HIV infected patients, and the change during HAART.Methods: Serum samples obtained from 50 healthy subjects and 102 HIV infected patients(48 untreatment and 54 treatment experienced patients)were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)to detect the contents of HCY and LEP.The levels of CD4+T lymphocyte in blood of 102 cases of HIV-1 infectors were detected by Flow Cytometry. The levels of Total cholesterol(TC),Triglyceride(TG),High-density lipoprotein(HDL),Low density lipoprotein(LDL)of all cases in serum were detected by Automatic Biochemical Analyzer.Results:(1)The levels of HCY in serum of HIV infected treatment group were obviously higher than that of untreated group and normal control group(P<0.01);There is no marked difference of the LEP levels were found among the three groups(P>0.05);(2)The levels of HDL in serum of HIV untreated group were obviously lower than the control group(P<0.01),however,the levels of TG,TC,LDL had no statistical significance between the two groups(P >0.05);The levels of TC,TG,LDL in HIV treatment group were significantly higher than the HIV infected untreated group(P<0.05),whereas,the levels of HDL were found no significant difference in the two groups(P>0.05);The counts of CD4+T lymphocyte in HIV infected treatment group were obviously higher than HIV untreated group(P<0.01);(3)The level of HCY was negative correlated with the counts of CD4+T lymphocyte(P<0.05),while was positively correlated with the level of TG(P<0.05);A significant positive correlation was found between the levels of LEP and HDL and the counts of CD4+T lymphocyte(P<0.05),in HIV untreated group.(4)The levels of HCY in HIV infected individuals who accept HAART for 24 and 48 weeks was obvious higher than these which before treatment(P<0.05),and there was a significant difference in all 3 groups(P<0.05).However,there was no obvious difference in the levels of LEP among 3 groups(P>0.05).(5)The levels of TC?TG?LDL and CD4+T lymphocyte in HIV infected individuals who accept HAART for 24 and 48 weeks was obvious higher than these which before treatment(P<0.05).While no significant difference was found in HDL among 3 groups. Conclusion: High levels of HCY and dyslipidemia are risk factors of CVD in HIV infected individuals during HAART.There was no obvious change in LEP during this process. To dynamic detect the levels of HCY and lipid levels in serum can benefit to the early prevention and diagnose of HIV infection person complicated with CVD in this process.
