Background:Today, Atherosclerosis cardiovascular disease has become one of the most important reason in global disability and death. Now, the sure risk factors of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease are including age, dyslipidemia, blood pressure, high blood sugar, smoking, obesity, etc., what can’t explain all facets of this complex disease, so that there are some new indicators as homocysteine, hypersensitive c-reactive protein, etc. Objective:Summarizing the traditional and emerging cardiovascular disease clinical laboratory measurements, and emphatically expounding the application value of homocysteine in the treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Methods:Formulating outline, and gradually introducing the thesis "the Relevance of homocysteine and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease ".All the views of this paper are by computer-based retrieval of Chinese and English literature, which also, by using the method of evidence-based medicine to Meta-analysis on the randomized controlled trials what design homocysteine as a medication observation index. Conclusions:A large number of clinical trials and epidemiological studies have shown that elevated levels of homocysteine is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. For the risk factors of cardiovascular disease coexist which influence each other, we still need to continue to deepen the study of new indicators such as homocysteine, in order to understand the etiology of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, then take reasonable effective treatment and the ideal results.
