Objective:To explore the application value of pulse wave velocity in evaluating arteriosclerosis risk and the degree of arterial elasticity.To analysis the correlation among the main influencing factor,so as to provide some exact reference for early prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis.Methods: Collected the data of 601 cases(358 males and 243 females,aged 21 to 80 years old)from Health Examination Center of Wannan Medical College Affiliated Yijishan Hospital during January 2015 to July 2016.The brachial ankle pulse wave velocity(ba PWV)and the ankle brachial index(ABI)were measured by the VBP-9 120806005 arteriosclerosis detector(Beijing Xinyue Qi Electronics Co.,Ltd.).The augmentation index(AI)and heart rate(HR)were recorded synchronously,and other relevant information about testees was collected with the questionnaire in the instrument.It is abnormal if the brachial ankle pulse wave velocity(ba PWV)>1400cm/s [1].The patients were divided into arteriosclerosis group(ba PWV>1400cm/s,n=301)and non-arteriosclerosis group(ba PWV ? 1400cm/s,n=300)based on the higher measurement value in the left and right sides.Venous blood samples were collected from the subjects with morning fasting,then the biochemical markers such as uric acid,creatinine,glomerular filtration rate,cystatin C,blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin and blood lipid were detected and recorded.SPSS 18.0 software was usedfor statistical analysis.T-test and chi-square test were used for evaluating the difference among groups.The effects of risk factors on PWV were analyzed by using Logistic regression analysis.P<0.05 was taken as the standard of statistical significant difference.Results: 1.The routine clinical data between the arteriosclerosis group and the non-arteriosclerosis group:Ba PWV was positively correlated with age,body weight,BMI,SBP,DBP,MAP,HR,creatinine,uric acid,cystatin C,blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin,total cholesterol,triglycerides and low density lipoprotein,but negatively correlated with L-ABI,R-ABI,high density fat protein and glomerular filtration rate.2.Logistic regression analysis between ba PWV and Various factors showed that ba PWV was statistically correlated with age,systolic blood pressure,uric acid,cystatin C and blood glucose(P <0.05).Conclusion: 1.Age,systolic blood pressure,uric acid,cystatin C and blood glucose were the independent factors of ba PWV.2.Age and systolic blood pressure were positively correlated with the severity of atherosclerosis,that is,with the increase of age and systolic blood pressure,the degree of arterial elasticity getting heavier.3.The level of uric acid and cystatin C was positively correlated with arteriosclerosis and arterial elasticity,which could reflect the severity of arteriosclerosis.
