Objective: Detection of serum and renal tissue of patients with LN,the expression level of IL-17,combined with the related clinical indicators, analysis the correlaiton of IL-17 level and disease activity, degree of kindey damage,to investigate the role in the pathogenesis and development of LN.Methods:Renal tissue IL-17 expression levels in 54 LN patients was assessed by immunohistochemistry, enzyme lingked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect serum IL-17 levels in 26 LN patients and 30 healthy controls, the results were analyzed by ststistical software.Results:1.Among LN patients, class ? LN patients were shown to have significantly higher levels of glomerular IL-17 expression than patients with class ? LN,class ? LN patients, patients with overlopping class ? and class ? LN,patients with overlopping class ? and class ? LN.2.The expression of IL-17 in renal tissue of patients with LN was positively correlated with renal pathological activity index(r=0.547,P<0.001),urinary protein(r=0.446,P=0.001),24 h urinary protein(r=0.399,P=0.003),and no correlation with chronic index.3.The levels of serum IL-17 in patients with LN were significantly higher than that in the healthy control group.4.The LN group was divided into LN active group(11 cases)and LN inactive group(15 cases)according to the SLE disease activity index. The levels of serum IL-17 in patients with LN active group were significantly higher than that in LN inactive group and healthy control group.5.There was a positive correlation between serum IL-17 levels and disease activity index(r=0.640,P<0.001)in patients with LN,which was negatively correlated the levels of complement C3.Conclusion:IL-17 plays a role in the pathogenesis and development of LN.
