Background: Laryngeal papilloma is a high-risk,high recurrent and have the characteristics of malignant transformation diseases.There is a wide variety of treatments and new treatments are emerging.There are two kinds of treatments for the treatment of conventional surgery and CO2 laser.But there is no cure for radical treatment.Purpose: Through the Meta-analysis to compare Recurrence rate,cure rate and remission rate after the conventional surgery and the CO2 laser therapy,if there is a difference.Methods: Searching in the English database: including PubMed,Embase,the Cochrane library.Using Chinese retrieval database: including Wan-Fang database,VIP database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure and SinoMed.Find all the literature on the comparison of the conventional surgery and the CO2 laser therapy.Data extraction and quality evaluation of the included documents.And meta analysis of data with RevMan5.3 software.Results: A total of 10 documents are included in this meta-analysis and the result shows that recurrence rate after CO2 laser therapy is lower?OR=0.50,95%CI?0.36,0.70?,P<0.01?,the cure rate and the overall response rate are higher?OR=2.88,95%CI?1.88,4.42?,P<0.01?,?OR=2.52,95%CI?1.30,4.90?,P<0.01?.Meanwhile,The data suggest that the post-operative remission rate is higher.?OR=0.44,95%CI?0.27,0.70?,P<0.01??Conclusion: The method of removing laryngeal papilloma with CO2 laser is much better than the conventional surgery.
