| ObjectiveIn order to observe the recent curative effect of treatment with coblation for laryngeal papilloma in adults under suspension laryngoscope, we follow up the patients that therapied by the laryngeal forceps or coblation, comparing the recurrent time after surgical treatment. Then, we investigated the clinical study and feasibility of coblation.MethodsWe retrospectively analyzed 55 cases of laryngeal papilloma in adult from June 2012 to December 2014, all patients with postoperative pathologic results for laryngeal papilloma. We divided all cases into two groups according to the different treatment methods,some of them were therapied by laryngeal forceps,and the others were therapied by coblation. We followed up the cases and recorded the recurrence time of them after the surgery, then we saw the relapsing patients as the new cases into the researchbe.We compared their recurrence time between the two groups to find out the advantages and disadvantages of coblation in curative effect.ResultsWe dealt with the recording data and drew survival curve with the survival analysis method. The results showed that the difference of sex and age between two groups were no statistical significance, and the 95% confidence interval of recurrent time were no overlapping data, and the survival curves of two groups were no cross,thus, we think that their difference can be compared. And by Log-Rank Test p=0.015<0.05, so that the significantly difference between two groups were found. All the results can confirmed that coblation was a more useful treatment than laryngeal forceps for extending the recurrent time of laryngeal papilloma in adults.ConclusionThe laryngeal papilloma in adult relapse more frequently, even has evil degeneration, there are many kinds of treatment methods. The results suggested that the coblation under supportive laryngoscopy in combination with endoscopy be used in the treatment of adult laryngeal papilloma will prolong the recurrence time.so it is worth promoting. |
