Pulse-taking(pulse diagnosis)is one of the most characteristic diagnostic methods in TCM.It plays an very important role in TCM and establish the basis of traditional Chinese medical diagnostics.As everyone knows,Pluse-taking originates from "Nei Jing" and "Nan Jing"."Nei Jing" proposes "Sanbujiuhou diagnostic methods","Renyingcunkou diagnostic methods","Twelve jing diagnostic methods","Chicun diagnostic methods","Semai diagnostic methods" and many other co-diagnosis methods."Nan jing" first creats "Duqucunkou" method.Shanghanlun carry forward the Pulse-taking theory from "Nei Jing" and "Nan Jing" which can be more available in daily clinical applications.The characteristic Pulse-taking method in the "Shanghan Lun" is plentiful and extremely detailed.The combination of Pulse-taking and symptom offer great value for clinical disease diagnosis,which makes the posterity made more researches on Zhang zhongjing's Pulse-taking theory.After research and learn lots of related document literatures,I recognize that there are two research directions.One is method and characteristic of Pulse-taking in "Shanghan Lun",the other one is single pulse condition and its clinical application.In this paper,firstly it analysis different schools' research condition of Pulse-taking in "Shanghan Lun".Secondly,it clear up and analyzes the Pulse-taking contents,include the Pluse-taking origin and concrete content analysis as well as the summary of the characteristic of the Pulse-taking method in "Shanghan Lun".In brief,this paper systematically expounds the characteristic of the Pulse-taking method in "Shanghan Lun" and its knowledge hierarchy.It has been many years since people began to detect and objective evaluate the pluse by instruments.Although many kinds of pulse-taking instruments appeare under theresearch and development of TCM,there is still have no available instrument clinically.Many departments do the research in library and lack of clinical consideration which makes the product hard to popularization and promotion in clinical application.Even so,pulse-taking instruments' quality become better and better as the research goes on.Under the circumstances,I did some research on related document literatures and did some market survey on pulse-taking instruments.This paper lists some pulse-taking instruments on current market and expounds different schools' research condition on pulse-taking instruments as well as the instruments application condition.After research the latest sensor technology,intellectual technology,computer technology,electric & information technology and instrument technology,this paper brings a new pulse-taking instrument–Shanghanliujing pulse-taking instrument.There are components details of the instrument and technical according in this paper.For the instrument system,it is developed by C# base on Microsoft.net Framework.In the end,this paper analyzes the current condition of pulse-taking instruments R&D and application as well as the practical application of the new pulse-taking instrument in future.
