Clinical Study On The Effect Of Mild To Moderate Vasular Dementia Of Phlegm-blood Stasis Sensory Orifices Obstruction Syndrome Treated By Yizhi Tongmai Decoction

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of Yizhi Tongmai Decoction in the treatment of mild to moderate Vascular Dementia of Phlegm-blood stasis sensory orifices obstruction syndrome,and in ways that exploring the mechanism of drug action as well as providing the scientific theory and clinical practice basis in the promotion and application of Yizhi Tongmai Decoction.MethodsAll Patients were hospitalized with the department of Chinese Medicine and Neurology in Shandong Provincial Affiliated Provincial Hospital.Randomized digital table method was used to divide the 66 patients with Vascular Dementia after filtering who meets the diagnostic,inclusion,and exclusion criterias into 33 cases in the observation group and 33 in the control group(At the end of the trial with removing the failed cases,the final 61 patients completed the trial including the observation group of 31 cases and the control group of 30).The control group was given oral treatment of Donepezil Hydrochloride(Aricept),while the observation group was used the treatment with Yizhi Tongmai Decoction on the basis of drug treatment by the control group,which had a total 2 courses of 12 weeks for each one.The patients’ ADAS-Cog,MMSE,ADL,BBS and criteria for quantification of TCM symptoms were recorded every 12 weeks before and after treatment for observing the clinical curative effect and drug safety performance.ResultsThe scores of ADAS-Cog,MMSE,ADL and BBS in the two groups are compared to prove the patients with mild to moderate Vascular Dementia were significantly getting better(P<0.05).After 24 weeks’ treatment,there was statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The use of Yizhi Tongmai Decoction combined with Aricept and the Aricept alone can improve all the patient’s cognitive,executive function and activities of daily living,and the difference between the two groups is obvious.Compared the standardization score of TCM Symptom classificationin between the observation group and the control group,the score of the patients with mild to moderate Vascular Dementia in observation was significantly improved(P<0.05).The control group was also made an apparent change(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the score of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The use of Yizhi Tongmai Decoction with Aricept and the Aricept alone are all beneficial to patients with Traditional Chinese Medicine symptoms score,but the former application is better than the latter.Compared with the control group,the curative effect of cognitive function of the two groups was significantly facilitated as the process of therapy is prolonged,and there was no statistically significant difference between the observation group(total effective rate: 61.29%)and the control group(total effective rate: 53.33%)(P>0.05).The use of Yizhi Tongmai Decoction combined with Aricept and Aricept alone all have a certain effect,and the difference between the two groups of cognitive clinical efficacy is not obvious.In contrasted to the observation group and control group,the clinical curative effect of the TCM syndromes of the two groups was improved with the prolongation of the treatment time.The total effective rate of the observation group(83.87%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(53.33%),which shows a great deal of significant statistical meaning(P<0.05).Yizhi Tongmai Decoction combined with Aricept and Aricept alone all have a good effect on the patients,and the Chinese medicine efficacy between the two groups is obviously different.Conclusion 1.The use of Yizhi Tongmai Decoction combined with Aricept and Aricept alone all have a good clinical efficacy on the treatment of patients with mild to moderate Vascular Dementia of phlegm-blood stasis sensory orifices obstruction syndrome,and drugs combination is better than individual medication.2.Yizhi Tongmai Decoction combined with Aricept can promote the performance of patients with cognitive function,cognitive function,daily life and behavioral capacity for patients in treatment of mild to moderate Vascular Dementia of Decocyion syndrome,and the efficacy of cmobination is better than the case of using Aricept alone.3.Patient’s TCM syndrome is improved by the use of Yizhi Tongmai Decoction combined with Aricept,and their phlegm-blood stasis sensory orifices obstruction of Vascular Dementia is targeted treatment,whose effect is evidently better than the use of Aricept alone.4.There is no obvious adverse reaction through the course of the experiment,and that the Yizhi Tongmai Decoction and Aricept are combined also has good safety.The medicine is easy to be taken,the curative effect is reliable and worthy to be popularized for it has a wide clinical prospect.
